Reck, Read this This is absolutely thee best way to play singed. I main him and the only thing I do different is I run the Speed 3 boots.

Reck, while you are there, read the rain man's guide too. Together with Dyrus's guide, it gives you almost all options you have as singed. Pick what you like.

Early rylai's or not, getting mobility in the utility tree or not, leveling slow first or fling. And there is a lot to say for the rain man's choices.


As for AP singed, that's a trollbuild. Sure it works when you are fed beyond belief, but that's pretty much it. Tank singed is more solid, because what you want as singed is a long fight anyway (the longer the base damage of your poison applies). And he synergises just too well with Frozen heart (cooldowns + mana, added to the amazing armor and passive), FoN (speed!, next to amazing regen and MR). Those are items you don't really want to skip, since they are better on singed then they would be on another champion.

For my Singed build I use;

Runes:
Red MPen
Yellow Dodge
Blue MR (I prefer flat as by the end game you have so much MR that the bonus from scaling does very very little)
Quints Move speed

Masteries:
9/18/3

Offense get the 15% Mpen
Defense get 3 in both armor and mr, 4 in dodge, 3 in strength of spirit, 1 in nimbleness and 4 in veterans scars
Utility get 1 in improved ghost, 1 in improved TP and 1 in +2% regen.

Summoners:
Teleport Ghost

Skill order:
Take a point in fling first and then max poison and glue.

Build:
Blue crystal/2 red pot -> Cata -> lvl 1 boots -> RoA -> Ninja Tabi -> Negatron cloak -> Chain vest -> Wardens mail -> either FoN or Randuins -> the one you didn't just get -> Banshees or sunfires -> the one you didn't just get.

First time really using singed last night. I went 19/4/12. I built Movement 3 boots. Thornmail. Spirit of Nature. Gaurdian Angle. Rod of ages and the secptyr with lots of health. It was a 3v3 so I grabbed wraith buff and trollololololed so hard! I dived through 3 turrets to fling and kill an ashe. My fling did about half of Ashe`s health. It was amazing.

21% dodge is too good to pass up, first off it's a free 32 movespeed during fights and secondly it's AD carries which you need to worry about (200+ MR and 4k HP means there is no caster who's going to be able to nuke you down where as the AD carries sustained damage can kill you) and taking 0 damage from a fifth of their attacks is a huge buff to survivability (nobody builds sword of the divine because its an awful awful item).

If they are super CC heavy enough that they can be perma-locking you down through the tenacity on your ult and killing you then A) they are chain stunning and focusing the singed (trololol?) and B) simply buy a set of Merc treads as your 5th or 6th item (merc treads are the cheapest tenacity item at 1200 gold).

Dodge on a hero with a huge HP pool / high resistances is insanely cost effective compared to just getting more armor and the free 32 move speed is icing on the cake for singed.

The above is true. But who cares when their bot lane just lost horribly and they have mostly AP otherwise? You aren't going to take serious AD damage and for your first defensive item (which are your boots), it might make sense to go mercs or if you are up against a really bad team, swiftness. Yes, there are those teams with little to no dangerous CC and a sucky AD carry.

Page 2 is solid. Page one might be (with the flat AP quints and scaling blues), too, if you usually play bot lane carries with tame early games. If you're playing aggressive carries (Corki, Vayne) or bruisers doing a lot of early brawling, flat MR blues give you early lane dominance more than scaling. Think of how much early fighting you're doing and let that guide you. I know with my Corki page, I prefer the flat, but Corki also does more early brawling that most AD carries.

More people need to buy chainvests / negatron cloaks.

It's perfectly okay to run around with an unupgraded vest/cloak for 10-15 mins, they are really good defensive items.
