But I wub DGB!!
I think crypto replacing out in the way he did is actually a large town tell. He got frustrated with the way things were going, and if he was town, people wrongly accusing him, and so he got fed up and left. If he was scum, he would have in the back of his mind the knowledge that he actually was scum, and so people accusing him were right.
I think DGB is at least a breath of fresh air. Her nopoint vote is very good.
Another point against forseen scum.
forseen wrote:@Game so If no one thinks I am scum, then why am I still the leading wagon...
You can't fake this stuff. He is not reacting at all how relative new scum do under a lot of pressure. He's sort of oblivious. (I believe in last game scum had daytalk? If so, you would expect one of his buddies to at least tell him something good to say)- implosion

I don't remember scum having daytalk last game. And this is totally how newbscum react to pressure... he's ignoring the people that have posted content on him, and going straight to criticizing the wagon on him without really even saying that the wagon is wrong. Obliviousness isn't necessarily a towntell, and is easy as hell to manufacture. He also could just be oblivious scum.- nopointinactingup

I'm not scum. Please point out what's wrong with what I'm saying.

Oblivious???
4see: Help! Wagon on me
Ludi: Oblivious???
LOL and why is that? Though posts like this gives me good energy *narcistic laughter*
First of all, Fourseen could either be "agressive" or "analytical" but he was neither
Second, Fourseen wants an "informational" lynch on Crypto then failed to explained why it is informational
Third, Fourseen backtracked.
I don't get why ppl discourage the leading pressure wagon butnot pushing for any other wagon (Magister Ludi, slysly )Justice will prevail

@mod - I would like to request replacement.
Sorry everyone, I dont think I can contribute to this game as much as I would like. When I signed up I still had access to mafiascum from work. Since work blocked the site, I've found it really hard to keep up with this game. That combined with the wrestling season starting soon means it's only going to get worse. I'd rather replace out now when its still early in the game than try to hang on and only delay the inevitable.- DrippingGoofball

Welcome DGB!
I’m not going to give you the ‘Town Tell” pass that others are advocating for you based on crypto’s replace-out. Given Atomic you should know why given your own actions and Sensfans. I'll elaborate if necessary.
I need clarifications on why these reads are as such DGB – nothing long but something I can work with:
WE5874016 - Sinestro [Online.] – Why Town? Much lower activity than should be expected from hydra of hiplop and Andy. Horrible justification for Fourseen vote. Given the mechanics of this game hiplop’s ‘I’m bored because I’m VT’ regular excuse doesn’t hold water.
BT1357719 - Stringer Bell [Online.] – Why not Scum? Do you disagree with my reasoning?
DGB wrote:You're better than this word macaroni salad when you're town.
VOTE: nopointunactingup
Please elaborate on why the phrase ‘word maracroni salad’ appears in that sentence.
DGB wrote:You won't have to campaign for my lynch tomorrow, your team will NK me.
If you are Town ( or scum in Multi-scum environment ) you know this isn’t true. It’s why you go to the trouble of playing as you do Day 1.
--
@Kdub– Please give me your read on Stringer.

Nopoint wrote:I find the reasoning of Ludi and those who talk about how there's 0% fourseen is scum by the fast wagonning bullshit. It's just appeal to probability. Please show evidence that he's not scum instead. If Fourseen flips scum those will be my number 1 suspects.
In regards to the bolded –
1. You are using Appeal to Probability incorrectly. An Appeal to Probability is saying the odds of something happening are so small that they couldn’t have happened (ie a Cop scanning a Godfather N1 and a Miller N2 in a game) which is a fallacy. It’s true that Ludi is incorrect in stating outright there is a 0% chance that Fourseen is scum. Unless he has some power that tells him Day 1 that Fourseen is Town (which I don’t expect is in this game) as Town he shouldn’t be 100% sure. I don’t think Fourseen is scum but am willing to acknowledge I could be wrong.
2. Asking for ‘evidence he’s not scum’ is horrible. You can’t prove a negative, especially Day 1 in this game. What evidence is there of actual scum intent in Fourseen's play?
Nopoint wrote:I don't get why ppl discourage the leading pressure wagon but not pushing for any other wagon (Magister Ludi, slysly )
Um this is a complete lie. I know Magister is pushing warrior and I am pushing Stringer. Why fabricate statements like this?
--
Drunken wrote:Still fine with vote and reason,

The way to achieve an actual lynch is not to wait for others to commit. Join me and lead the charge – Vote Stringer for a better tomorrow!!!1

Junpei wrote:Too scummy to be scum, MoI? I don't like your logic at all. Fourseen has been scummy, lurking, and utterly stupid. I am not focusing on point 3 for my vote, points 1 and 2 are also important. Do not misrep me by saying "Junpei is just screaming "LYNCH THE IDIOT!"."
I’m not saying he’s ‘too scummy to be scum’. I’m saying his play doesn’t show the hallmark of scum intent. If you can explain to me what he gains as scum from his actions I’ll certainly listen. I don’t see any net gain … in fact it clearly was net negative. I don’t see anything that indicates to me he’s not Horrible Town in his plays.
As for lurking – that’s a pretty ludicrous charge. Fourseen has 9 posts as of this point. Players with less?
Wazzatron – 5
Nopoint – 4
Whispersilk – 1
Redcoyote – 5
Drunken Piper – 4
Springlullaby – 7
Diddin – 4
Peregrine – 8
Sinestro – 8
Bunnylover – 3
That’s 10 players – 40% of the total game. I’m not even counting the players with 9-11 posts which probably brings the percentage to well over 50%. The 'lurker' tag in the above post looks like it was a Wikitell tacked on to 'strenghten' you presentation.
Playing stupidly isn’t a scum-tell. It’s a function of being a bad player. Being able to look past the stupidity and look at motivations is an important skill to have here on MS.
If we get to deadline and he’s the only viable lynch I’ll vote for him. But until that point I’d rather look for players I think are showing true scum intent.
Junpei wrote:I'm suspicious of..
Toog, Stringer, Magister Ludi, didden
Then vote Stringer. It’s a good place for your vote.
--
Spring wrote:I'm not a fan of the whole cognitive dissonance line of argument concerning stringer, I don't see scum wanting to look town with the whole "I don't want an easy lynch" thing just hopping on the next available wagon.
That’s exactly why I suspect him. If he was Town who really didn’t want a ‘easy lynch’ he wouldn’t have jumped immediately on the Fourseen wagon given what concerned him about Warrior’s wagon should still have concerned him about Fourseen’s. His behavior indicates his reasoning for unvoting Warrior and not voting anyone else was manufactured.
--
Workdawg wrote:When crypto was asked for his reasons, they werent great, but he provided them
No, this isn’t 100% correct. He was asked by Junpei (IIRC) about his reasons for voting me and never gave them. Please review his ISO and see if you agree. If you disagree please show me his reasons. If you agree does this change your opinion?
Bah, you replaced out ...
--
diddin wrote:unvote, Vote: Junpei
I guess I'll give Crypto's replacement a chance for now. Willing to change to SB but I don't think that lynch is happening either MoI.
So you are willing to vote a Junpei wagon that had less support than Stringer (at that time) but are saying you are willing to change to Stringer but the lynch ‘isn’t happening’?
Get your vote on Stringer ASAP.

Guys, Furc is probably town. Read his first few posts again and then tell me if you think anybody fakes that mistake if they had the opportunity to coordinate with scumbuddies before posting. Third-party is not ruled out, but I can't see him being mafia.
Somewhat suspicious due to the "let's not quicklynch today...wait n/m Vote: FS gogogogo" thing, and the earlier thing with Toog strikes me as a bit off as well. He's below diddin and FS on my suspect list, but he's on the next level down.
Given that we have a 2-week deadline for D1 and we're almost halfway through, people who haven't figured out their top suspects should get their act together soon so we can start making progress. The worst thing would be to drag this day out close to the deadline and then be scrambling in case of unexpected claims or whatnot. I'll have more to say on this depending on how things shake out the next few days.Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Mafia - 17-player large theme, currently needs (0) replacements- The Eruci

We're going to explore what sticks out to me first:
↑ FourseenCircumstance wrote:Alright,,
So Diddin I don't know where you were going in your first post nor do I care...
Warrirmode do you have any sort of postrestriction?
Crypto, your counter case against Diddin fairly weak, but the case on you is even weaker. hmm ponder.....
But looking at the plan from Magna....... It seems like the case be...... you are likely a good target at least not a good informational lynch for town.
unvote. Vote: Crypto
...This is bad. There are a lot of people who are going in this game 'I don't get the votes on Four.'
Let me explain this to you: you should never, ever vote someone, even Day 1 and go 'hrm. Wonder how this person flips.' Ignore the congitive dissonance and the fancy words until I have my say here. You. Do. Not. Vote. For. Anyone. Solely. On. Seeing. How. They. Flip. I could understand a 'Crypto, why are you being an abrasive asshole, this doesn't work for town' faulty reasoning better than this.
↑ FourseenCircumstance wrote:hmmm..... Ponder.....
Crypto is a pretty active player and that is very helpful for the town early on to generate discussion and what not so I'd like to see him stick around.....unvote
To be fair, there are two interpretations of this post and both of them are correct depending on your viewing stragedy.
1) Oops. I made a mistake here. This player is protown and my reasoning was horribad to begin with.
2) Damn! People are riding me, must unvote.
I'm leaning towards #2 in the above situtation.
ML's #264 first paragraph is a diatribe on cases that I don't agree with (in my experience, motivation is everything and if people just placed Vote: Moron and never explained their votes, it'd be a sad game state. If everyone withheld reasoning and who and when were most important, you could win every game with a VCA and you could just run a game like Communication Breakdown without acutally needing the chat rooms.)
Paragraph 2: You're trying too hard. The problem with warriormode's post:
↑ warriormode wrote:I like your plan implosion.
Should be very helpful.
And I doubt scum will pass each other abilities.
But if they do, all the easier I suppose.
Vote: crypto
Is quite simply this. He talks entirely about Imp's plan without acutally mentioning anything about crypto. It's like 'how awesome, oh wait, let me slip this vote into here...' Riiiiiiiiggghhht. The rest seems...well, pushing it, really. This is a 'too helpful, too townie' reasoning, which is one I don't brook with well.
Paragraph Three: ...Because the amount of votes had nothing to do with how horrible Fourseen's comment was. Right. Keep in mind that the vote was about Four suggesting we should vote for crypto because his lynch would be informative. There's no speck of town reasoning there.
Paragraph Four: What's the thesis here? Are you saying Warrior's scum, Crypto's scum or Fourseen isn't scum? Because you've now included Crypto into the whole Fourseen issue as part of teh wagon building on him. By the way, iyou're stretching here.
Paragraph Five: ...Is everyone NOT directly voting for Warrior scum? Or more to the point is MoI avoiding Four's wagon and not voting for Warrior and choosing a different direction now scummy because in your head Warrior is obv scum.
Paragraph Six: Reads "I don't really have a case here so I'll shelve it." Paragraph seven is fluff saying not enough people are posting. Which is true,NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE ARE POSTING.
Also #265 is backwardsly hypocritical considering ML made tenative connections to Warrior, MoI and Crypto all in the same post. These posts are kinda what strikes me wrong about ML personally.
Opportunistic here. Frankly, if we follow MoI's plan, it should be good to see where it goes, so this isn't an anti-town thing for Toog to do. I don't like the immediate reaction of voting here.
I support either Implosions or MoI's claiming plan, MoI's a bit more so I know what I'm claiming when. Implosion: if the doc can protect against poison, when should the doc claim it does/does not?
Best thing to ever happen to the Crypto slot was DGB. Crypto was the kind of person that got my hackles to rise and made me want to vote him just because he made me annoyed and mad.
Sinestro bothers me with his analysis post on #284. Sheeping is probably one of worst scum reads ever. You're not necessarily awesome protown because you're hip and edgy. There's also not a lot of scumhunting in your scumhunting...
Fun fact: Just because someone's VI doesn't mean they're not scum.
Don't like Furc going 'I'm not SK hunting'. I work around scum whether or not they're SKs.
Junpei seems to be playing 'reads roulette.' If you read his ISO: #144: Sinestro is scum. #192: Fourseen is scum. #199: Crypto is...sorta scum. #250: is Four acutally scum or is this a p-lynch? #267 and #270 admittedly read Town to me; although there is a 'warrior is scum' there. #329: Toog, Stringer, Magister Ludi, didden are all scum. #365: DBG is scum. #382: Red Coyote might be scum.
There is no way they're all scum at the same time. This is like a game I played with Fate once where he FoSed the entire town. You know what we did to him?
We fed him his daily dosage of fiber via rope.
Vote: Junpei

I acutally can go for all three of them about equally, but we've talked about Warrior and Four to be frank, and with a more than a week left, we need to talk about Junpei. I want to talk about Junpei as a lynch. So I'm voting Junpei."You live for the fight when it's all that you've got."--Bon Jovi, Living on a Prayer- EtherealCookie

All right, then let's talk Junpei. If you want to push discussion in that direction, then you need to spark something, and your case on him seems rather weak, so I'm suspicious. Two people with a lot of votes on them that you find suspicious but you choose not to vote for them and instead pick Junpei. Seems like bussing without voting. And your reasoning for voting him is terrible given your previous two cases on the other. Read roulette? All right, that doesn't cry out scummy to me at all like Fourseen does.
I'm getting a slight town vibe from him myself reading his ISO, and I agree with some of his scumtells such as Diddin and Fourseen.
So, I'd love to hear the case on him, really, because I'm not convinced at the moment and it doesn't even sound like you're that convinced from your weak case.- PeregrineV

My Junpie thoughts:
Only played one game with him previously. In it, he came across as scummy early on, but claimed tracker. Got flack for his early target (Vezok) but otherwise seemed 7x more engaged than he currently is. I know that things change and the amount of time given to one game for whatever reason may not equal the same amount of time given to another game, but the change is in the back of my mind. What I haven't done yet is interpret that change.
Also, this
Seems to be somewhat contradictory to his two placed votes, which are for this:

Sinestro is... well he's hiplop and hiplop is frustrating. But that won't be the basis of my voting him. He has made 7 posts with saying nothing other than toog is town based on meta, which by the way, he hasn't explained. No comments on anything else other than "MoI /agree" which is something everyone should be doing anyway.vote Sinestro
And this.
Neither of which seem very analytical.
However, this is also something I hold in the back of my mind as something else to keep an eye on.I will haveLimited Accesson weekends. - PeregrineV
