@ZorasterDo you think the game will have a third party?
I highly doubt a second scum team. I'm correct in that assumption?"ITT Benmage is making Shakespeare look cool. I need to bring you to my high school." -Vi

*hands a note to Swyft*
Why do you doubt a traitor would say as such? And why in the world are you spending more time addressing a know traitor and lunatic than actually adequately responding to the questions men of the iron throne are posing you?

Given what I know, I am not totally convinced that there is not a second scum team. It is in the realm of possibility that there is only one, but I find it unlikely. A third party, given past events, seems likely..-

What I mean is this: people are gonna get wise to your games sooner or later - the only way to get this to work properlike is to work with us, instead of against us. So what you do is you focus on style over substances, on typographical issues and the like - it'll be distracting short term and beneficial long term, so you get to further your win condition and we'll let you do it.
P.S. if you assume a just god, there's no third party. I so deserve to draw an SK role; I've paid my dues.Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

It's a powerful scum tool. Faraday's a fan of it.
It connects scumteams 10X more, and is definite an enabler to a tree-stump to coach members. I read the setup and thought scumdaytalk 100%, tis the only real reason I sought the LittleFinger role.
Otherwise, the mods gave us a pointless Chesskid. I certainly hope thats not the case....and I don't believe it to be."ITT Benmage is making Shakespeare look cool. I need to bring you to my high school." -Vi

See, this is exactly what I mean, Payne. The Waters bastard doesn't ignore me. He realizes that as long as I'm addressing in game issues, I'm readable. That doesn't mean you take what's given at face value, of course. But my lies are likely to be something different than my truths. Distinguishable in some way.
And no, Lancel. I am all substance. Style is irrelevant to me. I'd prefer my methods be unseen.
Last, my push for character names is entirely player driven. I'd want the same thing if I were town. I think we're missing an opportunity here. Most themed games don't announce their character list, which I think is a shame. But here we know who's who. And the way to make this game more fun -- more than just a forgettable role PM -- is to act in character. I promise that's not me as Littlefinger saying that. That's me as Zoraster..-

Pretty sure I have spent just as much time replying to Empking and co as I have to Zoraster.
That slip up wouldn't matter anyway seeing as Blue is a universal color and red is a town color. I just got caught up in the moment because of my blue text.-

Well, I'm not exactly a maester but... you'd be wise not to put too much trust in them anyway.
I'd be very surprised if there wasn't a third party given that there are never just two sides in ASOIAF. I think Moqorro is just a deliberately irrelevant example name though, as he isn't in AFFC.
Lots of posting but most of it is fluff. Although I agree Shadow's defensiveness is a mild scum tell, the way the Empking vs Shadow fight subsequently developed sounds like typical town vs town to me.
I think Fourseen's one line posts could easily be scum trying to artificially inflate post count.

Would you like to be struck down swiftly, my Lady? No man worthy of his white cloak could hear these words and not doubt that you wished the royal family nothing but good. I know not exactly why her grace Queen Cersei appears so fond of you, but it is my duty to be suspicious of those who may be hidden snakes. In any case,

Seriously, am I crazy? The confirmed tree stump tried to place a vote, and WIFOM though it may be, I think it's early enough and he may have forgotten enough to at least help us believe that the person he voted is probably not aligned Littlefinger.
Your words ring falser and more forced than a bad mummer's farce, and the same is true of your banter with Lord Littlefinger. Whom we trust not for obvious reasons. The sigil of House Baelish is the head of the Giant of Braavos. The Giant of Braavos is a massive troll. The conclusion follows quite naturally.

My lord father! To see you here lightens my heart in these shadowed times.
↑ Shadow1psc wrote:This all hinges on the belief that I'd be stupid enough to not realize saying something like that (as Empking described) would be incriminating. If I had OMGUSd or something, I could see the merit, but it's not like I was flailing around going 'OMG Y U VOTE ME?!'. I simply wanted to know Emp's stance, if he's a waffly player like Cogito seems to be, or if I should be taking his suspicions more seriously.
Lady Merryweather, only the heart of some innocent maid would believe that saying something excessively incriminating is a sign that the speaker is true and loyal. I pray that such as my sister never has to learn the treacheries of men - but you are no maid, my Lady. In fact, by some accounts . . . but leave that be. Your cheeks may redden at an accusation and then you may swear that it was some girlish blush. That does not mean I am dull-witted enough to take you at your word. I cast a VOTE: Taena Merryweather, in the name of King Tommen whom I have sworn to protect with my shield, my sword, and my life.

Father. I will consider your suspicions closely; it is well that our King has many eyes and ears about him, to watch for treachery. I know not whether Ser Ilyn is the one whom I most fear, though.
↑ Shadow1psc wrote:It means exactly what it says. Your argument hinges on the fact that you think I'm too stupid to avoid making a remark like that, when a remark like that is obviously something best suited for a quick topic involving allies. Your argument is that I sound like I'm coaching, or talking to a teammate, when obviously were we aligned and I concerned, there would have been a more appropriate way for me to convey it, and that I was too stupid and instead posted it in the game topic.
I have heard of this line of argument - those who plead that they are not too dimwitted to unintentionally betray their evil motives, and instead are stupid enough to have made some slip of the tongue in innocence. In my view, this argument is weak - though in truth, there are some innocent lackwits in this world. The way you plead this argument, my Lady, I am not inclined to believe that you speak the truth. You do not actually address one of the more pressing interpretations of your words - that you belong to Lord Baelish's conspiracy and in your nervousness betrayed yourself with a false sounding response to one of his messages from the Eyrie. You frame any argument against you as being based completely on the idea that for you to have said what you did, you must have accidentally spoken aloud what you would have sent by raven to Lord Baelish were you given to his cause, and that you are not stupid enough to have done that. My Lady, I say that your plea is falser than the false would-be-king Stannis.
↑ MagnaofIllusion wrote:↑ Shadow1psc wrote:I thought that was implied?
Then why are you bothering to respond to him with fluff like your previous post?
Ser Osfryd asks exactly the questions all men true to the Crown ought to be asking.
I must leave and return soon to contemplate the further words spoken on this matter. I am off to be tutored a little extra on sums and numbers (my lord Father will forgive me that book-learning was never my strong suit). If only King Renly were alive and he could tutor me . . . I would certainly be much happier to learn . . .- zoraster
