Your explanation was essentially "yeah, I'm doing what you all think I'm doing". Acknowledging the fact that you're being opportunistic doesn't make it okay, especially when it takes the form of "hmm, look at that guys, I'm looking at that, you should all look at that!... but I'm gonna be over here with this fence-post lodged firmly up my ass for now."

For so may reasons.
1. You should have your eye on everyone without saying.
2. You're not making a judgement on their alignments.
3. You're not saying anything that helps you find out their alignment.

I wouldn't exactly call it opportunistic. It's a valid point in that the RVS is where the first serious votes spring from, so not participating at this point, while not as bad as, say, refusing to join in with 48 hours left in a day and 2 people at L-2, is still a tad irksome.

The problem isn't the point its the way it came across. He just said it but didn't push it or what have you.

I don't know what else there was to push. Being tsg's first and puportedly last post for several pages seemed voteworthy in and of itself.

If it was voteworthy then you shouldn't have been happy with just one vote.

Based on previous experience of DK where he has trolled the shit out of a game, been modkilled because of it, and then continued to post AFTER being modkilled, I strongly suggest that DK is the only policy lynch that should be entertained this game. I don't trust him late-game at all. In fact, I don't trust him early game either.

Oh believe me, in three and a half years DK is the only player I have actually modkilled for a rule breach that I can remember. At the same time though, there is one other player in this game who I would consider a policy lynch of at this point for some pretty destructive town play in the past.

Not "trusting" someone is no reason for a policy lynch though. You policy lynch those that are going to be destructive to the extent that they cannot be corraled by us at all, and will deal significant damage to the town no matter what their alignment is. This includes players such as ani, LLD and natirisha (also a few other 'popular' or 'good' players that next to one one agrees on me with but thats a different arguement). I would policy lynch any of them day one outside of them claiming to be mason. DK is not a great player, but from my limited expierence he is able to be kept in check enough so that he isnt a policy lynch.

Still, we dont policy lynch this game. Either way there are serious votes so policy lynch stage is long gone.

Haze is probably a good spot for an early wagon. I dont entirely get his first post but it feels like he is going in a few different directions, which is why I want him answering the questions I have posed

I really don't see how. He made one somewhat shifty post, which i made a counter point to. I could continue reiterating my counterpoint, scream, and point my finger at him whilest waving my arms to get everyones attention, but i don't find it a good idea really. Tsg's comment sounded anti-town, but whether that is scummy or just a rotten first foot out the door i can't tell. I was hoping my vote and post would encourage him to join the discussion sooner. I just want him in the game so i can get a better read on him.

I am not saying to policy lynch Haze. I think Haze is a good pick for early pressure.

Policy lynches are essentially a quickly lynch someone who will hurt the town basically every time as town through poor play. DK is not that bad of a player, so we do not policy lynch him, just keep him in check. Not going to argue that he is a good player, but I do not want a policy lynch of him at all.

What is your stance on DK?

I know what a PL is. =P I also got you didn't want to lynch DK with that bellicose amount of reasoning as to why to keep him. My stance on DK is I don't know anything about him nor do I recall any posts of his when the name is brought up.
