Didn't you say in the graveyard thread for ASoS that you voted Benmage for Hand because you thought he would fuck things up if you gave him power? The motivation behind this post seems as though you're trying to kiss up to him, since Benmage is susceptible to being buddied and (*cough*) thinks highly of himself sometimes.

It’s reaction testing Benmage. There has been bad blood between us for awhile. The fact that he didn’t even blink at it coming from me is suspect. Thus although I like the logic coming from Benmage in certain areas I want more input from him on things I don’t quite get.

Well consider that specific Town-tell from you revoked from that interaction (since I misread your and Empking’s back and forth … perhaps dropping the RPing might be nice to make clarity a little stronger in your posting). But your response here is on similar lines. Scum don’t make a habit of correcting mistakes that benefit them.

The Zang tell is my personal shorthand for scum’s penchant for describing battles between two players as Town versus Town as a way of getting cred from correct reads and distancing from a potential mislynch based on that conflict.

My first observation of this was Zang in ooba’s Stardust Smalltown Mafia. Jack and I got into a heated back and forth over Jack calling me scum for some inane reason. Zang called it a Town versus Town fight with no real standing at that juncture.

It works best in early game when players ostensibly have little reason to have solid Town reads on other players but does have application later on.

I think one of the three of you is scum because I’ve seen pretty consistently that it is a valid tell. Every single time is the player scum? No, but it is consistent enough that seeing it three times here sells me that one of the three of you is very likely scum.

Ya I quoted the post that made me think you were the most scummy and then I quoted another post that reinforced the idea (that second post was the one where I called you "probably not town"). I think we are disagreeing on the interpretation of the post, but that is again, just my opinion. I view him as trying to find out people's alignments and I feel like people are just trying to overplay the whole Littlefinger situation.

Given what I know, I am not totally convinced that there is not a second scum team. It is in the realm of possibility that there is only one, but I find it unlikely. A third party, given past events, seems likely.

So what you do is you focus on style over substances, on typographical issues and the like - it'll be distracting short term and beneficial long term, so you get to further your win condition and we'll let you do it.

I was absent Friday, which is a part of my weekend. The game started on Thursday, wherein I was as active as is the norm.
