Why would you postpone it, then? Let's say for the sake of the lulz, he is telling the truth, is town, and scum does roleblock him. Depending if we lynch scum today or not, we could be one or two mislynches behind. I sincerely doubt we broke the game here. It's the reason why I've always been all over lynching D1 cop claims at L-1; they're too outed to be useful."You live for the fight when it's all that you've got."--Bon Jovi, Living on a Prayer- VP Baltar

A lot of my reads right now depend on what lewarcher82 flips.
Why?

a) Then we lynch him, most likely.
b) If he tried to kill dog-glowball, he would die...
I'm still not understanding why you want to give him a night of mafia-talking.
1) He posted something suspicious and got called on it.
2) He flustered under questioning and tried to mountanize something minor as a desperate distraction.
3) Made a false claim.
4) OMGUSed his main accuser as scum (and no one else)
5) Changed his claim.
6) Changed flavor of claim to match details that didn't make sense.
7) Avoided answering direct questions about his claim that didn't make sense.
8) Heavily pushing a "just let me live one night" plan when his role clearly isn't helpful enough to warrant that plan even if his claim wasn't crap to begin with.
How are you *that* blind to his scumminess?Occasionally intellectually honest

And let's say he kills a cat that's scum or kills himself on a dog?
Then we know something and gain something instead of having a 9/10 chance of losing.
IF HE'S SCUM can we be realistic and say that he doesn't have another kill on top of the faction kill.
If he's SK, I don't care and we shouldn't lynch him today, especially given the claimed nature of his role where he might accidentally kill himself.- glowball

Then that will sort itself out... It's not a claim that makes sense to lynch today. I will oppose it until the eventual end of the day.- glowball

Anti town is ANTI TOWN. I'd rather not run someone else up Day 1 and that person claim something that isn't "a claim that makes sense to lynch today". Lewarcher might be scum, he might be SK what is obv is that he isn't town and that's better than potentially lynching a townie to see what happens.- Amrun

It's not actually obvious he isn't town, though.

A lot of stuff is actually minor, but the main one is this:
Did xvart counter-wagon attempt to save scum-partner lewarcher82 by trying to push cases on town-jasonT1981 & town-Quilford?

And besides, this is fishing. Say that someone tells you that his dog is a German Shepherd who can find anything when he follows his nose. You will just assume that this person is likely a cop. Now I am forced to wonder which one is the explanation of your behaviour. (1) Reckless town - who just won the "VI of the game" trophy despite quil's efforts or (2) fishy scum. This is a terrible idea. This equates you claiming a fluffy and adorable puppy. How is it possible that you do not realise this?
I'll unvote and sheep you if you can give me a plausible explanation for why town-lewarcher82 would have said the above now that you know his full claim.Occasionally intellectually honest

That's actually the main thing that makes me think he might possibly be town.
It seems like a perfectly reasonable reaction as town to me.
Imagine that, as town, you know there is at LEAST ONE killing mechanic that relies on the species of animal for its use. You see people willy nilly revealing this; you lash out and try to quash this immediately.
I don't get why that would be weird; that's the ONLY reaction that makes sense to me.
If he really were an SK with these stipulations, it seems to me he would be a lot more likely to subtly encourage / ignore the seemingly innocuous talk of fluffy puppies.- Amrun

It's not reason enough for a full on townread, in my opinion, but is totally weird to me that you are using that as a scumtell....- Quilford

You guys are going to have to endure srs Quilford this game because of xvart. >___>
Let's consult the facts.
1.zoraster posted that alignment was randomised. That means that people with a specific animal as their pet won't all be the same alignment unless random.org determined otherwise, which is highly improbable.
2.lewarcher claimed to be a role who dies when he targets dogs and kills his target when he targets cats. That means lewarcher kills cats regardless of alignment.
Because he is killingregardless of alignment, it only makes sense that he is self-aligned.
If you're thinking that that's a really underpowered third party role, he probably has the ability to rolecop someone during the day or something like that... guessing people's pets would make it chance for him.
Obviously none of this applies if he'sstilllying about his role, but I don't think he is.
So, it's up to whether we want a third party role who might be able to kill scum alive or dead at the end of Day 1. I'm not sure myself, but I'm leaning heavily towards dead.- Amrun

There's no difference between a destructive third-party role and a mafia member. They're both scum. You didn't need to go on about that for five paragraphs."You live for the fight when it's all that you've got."--Bon Jovi, Living on a Prayer- Quilford

Um, are you blind, or am I?
Doesn't he pick his own targets?
Honestly, if I've missed something and he doesn't pick his own targets, I'm okay with lynching him. But I'm pretty sure that's not the case.
For the record, I'm not arguing that he is town. I'm arguing that his alignment cannot yet be determined for sure and that he is not the smartest lynch for today. - Amrun
