Hydra: ur dooin eet wrong

Play the game or don't. I'm confident that a Yates lynch will produce either a scum flip or the information necessary to lead us to a Town win.

However, the stagnancy of this thread and my read on Uphill lead me to switching to shake things up.

Unvote
Vote: Uphill

We're not Flashwagoning anything until Reck gets in here and answers my questions.

Also, can you stop being a useless lump for 2 seconds and give me a legit answer to the question of why the hell Yates!scum would be the first vote on the Triangle!scum lynch wagon?

1 newbie with Goon as his tittle busing another Newbie with Goon as his title is, um... how do I say this? HIGHLY unlikely.

Beats me. I remember reading every article on this site's theory I could find while waiting interminably for mith to clear my account, and then doing it all again during my first couple of games. To a newbie, simple bussing can seem downright mustache-twirling clever. And many of those guides advise doing it right out of the gate.

Occam's Razor suggests otherwise. All of this is based on a LOT of assumptions that give not one but TWO newbies credit for this idea. I'm not buying it, the princess is in another castle.

Oh, and what's your opinion on Grimmjow?

I'm looking in particular at post # 163 where he calls our Hydra's case on Reck "weak" and then goes on to say all of nothing about the case, or why it is weak. Or why Reck is town or scum or anything concerning Reck's alignment.

And also his post voting for Uphill, which came out of god knows where and made no sense. Promised content was never fulfilled.

Thoughts?

Pine wrote:Grimm's last post was five days ago, and his post before that was ten days ago. Please replace him. It's unfair to Town regardless of his alignment, as we're denied his input if he's Town and denied the ability to catch him if scum.

This is the full extent of my opinion on Grimm. I'm really terrible at reading lurks, and I know it. Hence why I want Grimmjow replaced. He's done the "Oh I'll catch up" routine too many times.

I can't render an alignment judgment on it, because when I flaked preceding my summer hiatus, I did it as both Town and scum, same thing. I should have replaced out, and Grimm should too.

Dear Pine, Uphill, and Furc,

Quite a bit of time has passed and I still don't have an answer to the two VERY simple questions asked here: http://mafiascum.net/forum/viewtopic.ph ... 1#p3580781

If you are Town and can't come up with a valid reason, perhaps you should reconsider your vote. If you are scum and can not provide a valid reason, it's because there isn't one. Double bus on Day 1 with no pressure makes zero sense in any world. Your inability to explain yourself just makes you look shady, stupid, and/or worthless.

Yates, you're being rather useless right now. You're beating a dead horse and arguing about points that only distract town from catching the scum.

What is your opinion of Uphill, Reck, Grimm and Furc?

Force of Nature wrote:You're beating a dead horse.

I was unaware the horse was dead. I saw Pine changed his vote, but the rationale for the vote in the first place could provide important insight at a later date.

Force of Nature wrote:What is your opinion of Uphill, Reck, Grimm and Furc?

I can't get a good read on Grimm. I must admit that his frequent "absences" are annoying me and reminiscent of what happened with Triangle ["OMG! Snow in October! My power is out!"]. That has me leaning towards scum. Then again:
Final Vote Count of Day One
Triangle123 (7): SodaSpirit17, Yates, Grimmjow, Nachomamma8, Pine, xRECKONERx, Implosion.
Pine (5): SleepyKrew, Uphill, Furcolow, Weirdalexv, Force of Nature.

Not Voting (1): Triangle123.

With seven votes Triangle123 has been lynched. Triangle123 was a 1-Shot Mafia Rolecop.
He
was
an early adopter on the Triangle wagon, which would have been odd for scum.

Reck can be difficult to read but is likely Town.

I still have very strong reservations about you, FoN. The reasons have already been addressed earlier.

Uphill and Furc also remain on my suspicious list while I have Weirdalex just behind you in terms of suspicion. My current scum list priority looks like this:

1. FoN
2. Weirdalex
3. Uphill
4. Furc

I just wish I had taken the time to reread SKrew. In retrospect, I realize my mistake in judgment with him was a failure on my part to recognize he was the FIRST member of the Pine wagon. While that could certainly be categorized as scum behavior, it is also fairly typical Town behavior early on in the game. He simply made a bad read early in the game and I penalized him too hard for it. I will not be making that mistake again.

FoN: The reason that I called your case weak was because it was weak. It made very little sense, was difficult to follow, had a nice sprinkle of WIFOM in it, and a LOT of speculation that also had other completely valid reasons. I don't really feel like putting in the effort to write out a monologue discussing your two ridiculous posts, but if you really want me to, I will. I don't really feel the need to defend Reck's position in this game, as the jury is still out on him as far as I'm concerned.

Anyway, I have read through the game, but there's so fucking much. I still stand by "Pine is town" statement from earlier, especially after that ridiculous wagon on him.

Town:
Pine

Leaning town:
FoN

Null:
Reck
Alex
Furc

Leaning scum:
Yates
Soda
Uphill

More to come after work (should be a relatively early night for me).

If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask me. I'm going to ISO my scum suspects tonight and look at interactions with the Triangle wagon and the counter wagon(s) as well. Again, I'm sorry for being so not in the game recently.

"Double bus"? NOPE. Triangle jumped off her vote on you less than 48 hours after she got on, so she clearly wasn't planning to bus you.
"with no pressure"? NOPE. Reck and Soda were already voting Triangle when you did.

I don't see any reason why you bussing is implausible. Vote stands.

Yates doesn't understand how bussing works. Lovely.

I'm willing to accept #1 and #2 on a wagon are likely townn if it flips scum, baring other circumstances.

Grimmjow as #3 on the wagon is a prime bus spot.

I also believe there is one scum on the Triangle wagon and one scum off it.

Also, if you check through Triangle's ISO, there is a post that confirms 1 and only 1 of Reck/Grimm as scum.

2) Not a strong town read, but unlikely to be scum due to PoE.
3) Fucking idiot who is scummy as shit but is probably too dumb to fake a miller claim.

These are terrible reads. 2/3 of your supposed scum were on the Triangle wagon that could have easily lynched your one and only Town read. Your only Town "lean" was on the Pine wagon that you claim was bad. You make no sense.
