The thing with Reacted for me right now, is he wasn't around for a few days (bar his post about issues logging on to MS) and said he was gonna catchup and post.
He comes back and he's at L-2 and makes 4 posts in a 10 minute spell which are just....blah? for want of a better word.
I really expected him to come out fighting and post some real substance. It was the old, expect Winston Churchill and get John Major.- Timeater

I assume you're talking about this?
I think he more or less talking about you immediately started leading the game and you absolutely do bully, Time. Although now that I look, you didn't get abrasive until after he posted this... Meh, I follow how this is scummy, I don't just follow that it is lynchable. I guess my problem is that I don't think we've seen nearly enough reason to justify having him claim now when the deadline is a whole week off. And when I look at the people on this wagon, I see people making a huge deal out of this one little thing and then calling his lurking indication of scum. Time, how did that work with Trez in last game? I'm going to stop defending him because I don't even have a townread on him. I just feel that someone has to be the dissenting voice of reason and point out how weak the case against him is in relation to how popular his lynch is.

What? I'm not freaking out and abandoning all my suspcions of you when you yell at me!?
Heaven forbid.
Try actually providing examples of things you think I ignored or do you only speak in generalities?

I must say I'm surprised Retro finds me scummy, since I'm not. No way to prove that yet. But his post looks really agressive. At least, that's how I feel.
What part of Retros post strikes you as aggressive?
I have limited times where I can post / access MS so I tend to get everything posted at one time and I have the bad habit of posting in response to stuff as I read the thread so I get to something, make a post regarding it. Keep reading, make another post and so on.The user formerly known as [Redacted].- Redacted

Timeater- I would greatly appreciate it if you could respond to Redacted's query above.
Redacted's original response to Timeater (posts 162-165) made me a little bit nervous. I do feel that 52 was pretty scummy. I can see the argument for thinking Timeater claimed to look town, but that's not that big of a deal, IMO. The bigger issue I had was saying that he was trying to bully people into claiming, which is a pretty blatant misrep. He didn't really address that part in his responses, so I'd still like to hear what he says about that. His latest set of posts (189-191) seem pretty town to me. Good scumhunting going on, etc. I was going to put Redacted at L-1, but he's climbing out of the hole, IMO... and I'm not ready to go there just yet.
Retro is seeming pretty town so far as well. That first post is hard to follow, but whatever. The rest seem alright.- Vala Mal Doran

Sorry for the wall. I wrote it as I was reading each post so if I have reads change within the post that's why.

I empathize because I'm usually much better at getting strong town reads earlier on than I am with scum reads, but even looking through your iso I don't know what you think aboutanyoneother than that you might be leaning slight scum on jerobbo for something I'm currently looking out of context because I'm answering this stuff as I read the thread. To me this communicates an unwillingness to take stances on anyone (do you still have a null read on Timeater btw?) and if you're scum this is a really easy way to avoid risk, whereas there really isn't any town reason for the way you are interacting with the game, and honestly the only reason I haven't fosed or voted you for what is essentially fluff posting is because I'm giving you a bit of leeway due to your joindate.
So. Do you haveanyreads right now, and if so can you share them please?
I think you misinterpreted my post. I get a gut town read on Anxiety independently of whether or not I think they could be buddies. The weak pairing analysis (which I acknowledged at the time it was technically really early for) was just an attempt at lending some credibility to what was otherwise a pure gut read because a lot of people don't or won't pay much attention to gut reads.
In other news, I get a town feel from this post. I particularly like his analysis on CK's playstyle.
↑ Felmix wrote:I quoted you because the post was addressed to you.I think you're making a mistake by writing Anxiety off as "newbtown", especially when the only person who believes Timeater is mega-town for his claim is you.I also don't know what town cred bandwagon you're talking about (so far to my knowledge, there is no town cred bandwagon in this game), but I do find it curious that you would accuse me of attempting to look town for... agreeing with someone you believe is newbtown? That doesn't really make sense.
Ok, I suppose I may have misunderstood that then, as I didn't realize you were trying to address me specifically and it looked like you were trying to quote me saying Anxiety looked town for his interactions and going "HAY LOOK AT ME I AGREE WITH HIM GIVE ME TOWN POINTS TOO". Though I will say I'm not "writing him off". A gut read is a gut read, nothing more at this time.
I don't see it.
↑ Citizen Karne wrote:I feel as though this argument supports Timeater's play as representing a nulltell, as opposed to a towntell. What do you think of that assertion?
I fail to see how. I still think he's very town and his posts post-claim haven't changed that. You're not one of those people that gets all butthurt about town that focus on townhunting rather than scumhunting early on, are you?
- more town vibes from Anxiety's 152. Not so much the post he quoted specifically, but he's identified a pattern in PV's posting that doesn't really rub the right way, especially if it continues.
- Like Retrospective's catchup post (158). And hadn't caught the thing on Fennin; he was completely null to me.
hahahahahahaha
I can kind of see why you'd make that comparison, but one of the advantages to playing with a Fate-like player is that they're really easy to read after you've played with someone of that style for a while (just shhh, don't tell Fate... he thinks he's unreadable as scum <.<)
- After reading Retrospective's analysis of Redacted and seeing Redacted's string of catchup posts, I might actually be willing to pursue a Fennin or PeregrineV lynch over a Redacted one but want to see more legit posting from Redacted first so I can get a better read. I'll expand on why this is if I do end up moving my vote, but if Redacted's scum I don't think he should know how he can earn townpoints from me. Right now he's still the scummiest person on my list but he's slightly less scummy to me now than he was before.
In b4 Timeater yells at me for this because Redacted is "100% confirmed scum" to him and how dare I alter my read in any way and betray him or something, but eh.
unfortunately I didn't get Vala as a role, as amazing as that would've been. and uhhhhhhhhh let's just say that your character and mine having babies would bereally weird... not to even mention farscape babies.
Consider that a crumb if you like, I guess. <.<
↑ Retrospective wrote:Welp, that just destroyed my scum read on Fennin.
Yup.
We made totally different assumptions about why he posted the way he posted.

All of this, actually. I know I said something earlier in this post about not necessarily wanting to say why his posts were giving me second thoughts and I'm too lazy to bother editing that, but I do think the fact that he's not flailing nor does he seem particularly concerned with his survival but is instead focused on asking questions and scumhunting lends him some possible townpoints.
I still want to see more, though, before I'd think about changing my vote. And as your mother, you will listen to me, young lady. There will be no leading of these ships and armies on a mass-murdering crusade. Or else.- Retrospective

Gah, I've been slacking off. Time to get a post in:
Hmm, let me take a guess
IIoA? Felmix just seems to be asking questions about everything and what people think instead of providing his own thoughts on who might actually be scum? I think I got it
But, getting back to some thoughts:
@Redacted: You don't seem to understand Timeeater's case against you, so I'll try to sum it up as well as saying why I agree with him.
Basically, you like opportunistic scum jumping on what seemed like an easy target at the time, and then when questioned, shout "SPECULATION SPECULATION SPECULATION therefore Time is scum". When that breaks down, you lurk, hope that Anxiety's wagon kicks off, and when it doesn't, casually come back and start up a total non-sequiter and totally ignore what retarded things you did early on.
If you actually think you have a chance with you case, answer me one question: What scum motivation is there for Time to claim? I don't think there's even the slightest. At best it's null, therefore your case didn't even have the slightest backing behind it.
On a slightly related note, it's utterly hilarious you saying "Timeater's framing himself as town" when you're framing him as scum
Vote [Redacted]
That's L-1, I'll post opinions on the others later today.- Ravel

Definitely out of context since I haven't posted about jerobbo.

Fair enough point. It's the scum reads that I'm having trouble with finding. My post about Redacted was the closest thing I saw as being scummy.
I don't get what's so pro-town about posting only town reads anyway. I'm willing to take a stance on those I find scummy but I'd rather not point out who I see as town unless they're being targeted for a lynch and I feel that I should defend them.
Like I said I'm not a fan of airing out my town reads, but since you asked
Timeater - My null read on him was the name claim. Since then he's posted townie-sounding things
VMD - for the sole fact that you called me out on this.
Fennin - Just plain gut for this one
Everyone else is null to me. But my scummiest nullread is Redacted and for some gut-only reason, Workdawg. - Ravel
