Nice catch, Slysly.

Thank you Stringer, for catching scum for us.

We shouldn't end the day yet though, but sinestro will be dying today via hanging.

I think the No Alignment Alterations is the biggest strike against Sinestro's post.

Gonna go ahead and also declare my intentions for V/LA from the 24th-27th for Thanksgiving holiday as well.

I think my reservations of the whole situation still is about why warrior would choose Sinestro to watch. I wonder if it's more likely that Stringer and Warrior are scummates, Stringer died behind Sinestro, and Warrior claimed that he watched Sinestro to get rid of a possible hiccup in the scum team's game.

Toog, are you denying that Sinestro is scum?

Also I will be v/la over Thanksgiving as well; will probably phone post during the break.

We're probably in the power-role outing scum phase for the next few phases. My brain will be ready for deep analysis around day four or five, hopefully once thanksgiving weekend is over.

Well I'm here after a looooooong time of work and not being here.
And you guys killing us will only help speed me towards my hiatus.
Anywho, I'll be honest because we're very likely to die and there's no reason to beat around the bush. hiplop goes "WHAT SHOULD WE CLAIM" and then proceeds to claim something barred in the rules.

We're The Asxtori.
FEAR AND DEATH.
I campaigned to shoot DGB because despite her townread on me I thought it was too weird since our play here =/= past town play as she's seen me. So I said to shoot her since I was afraid of what she had up her sleeves.

So yeah.
We're willing to gun for the town as long as you'll let us. (Which won't be long, of course.) But there's a couple people I'd love to kill out of sheer spite if given the chance, so, as far as we go with the SK deal, point us at a list and we'll tear into it. Hell, give us a name and we'll tear into them. Whatever works.

Either way we're fucked long-term so at least we'll get the chance to terminate some fools. <3

We're also bulletproof. Full bulletproof, et.al.

<3's and whatnot

What is your cycle ability and what does it do if you have one?

Are you aware that we will lynch you day 3 if we don't lynch you today?

With 19 alive, it takes 10 to lynch.

Deadline for Day Two is in (expired on 2011-11-30 21:41:47).

Under Replacement: EtherealCookie.

Popsofctown replaces implosion, effective immediately. V/LA's are noted, extending deadline a little bit to account for the holiday weekend.

Junpei wrote:Toog, are you denying that Sinestro is scum?

I've never tried to deny Sinestro as scanned scum. I am trying to determine the motivations of the rest of the play surrounding the whole situation because it just smells fishy.

Short version, I really don't get the impression that warrior really watched Sinestro last night. His play today has not suggested he thought Sinestro was scum or even third party, and the idea of choosing Sinestro to watch just doesn't resound right to me. Sinestro will likely be today's lynch due to both the info and the claim, but Warrior's motives are extremely questionable, the speed at which the wagon formed and lackluster reasoning for jumping aboard by several players is also questionable, and I just get the feeling that scum is trying to get rid of Sinestro in order to remove one of the few threats to them. Third party factions are often banes to scum due to the randomness of the role and they likeliness of losing a faction member to the player, so getting rid of Sinestro is definitely something they would want to do early.

The fact that Sinestro HAD to be third party the moment warrior claimed the info should have drawn scum to the lynch, either because warrior himself is scum trying to get rid of Sinestro, or because scum will want to take the opportunity to get rid of confirmed third party scum immediately.

And for what it's worth... I will never condone leashing a Serial Killer. They will continue to play to their win condition, and are not on the side of town.

Junpei and Ludi were the first two names that came to town about discussion of current lynch prospects. I hadn't even realized Stringer had as many votes as he has akrewed.

Magister Ludi wrote:Thanks toog. Also, I don't think your bunny lover vote is going to go anywhere today. Would you consider switching to one of these other wagons I proposed? (outside of your town read on slysly)

Yeah, Bunny isn't getting the love I want her to get.

Unvote;
Vote: nopoint

paraphrasing: did not realize stringer (now known scum) had so many votes, let me move my vote from a wagon of one to a competing wagon (now known town).

Do not like. FOS. Esp since SB defended him earlier giving him an out for his anti town ability rather than being quick lynched.

Toog, I'd have to agree with you that it is looking like Warrior is scum who faked a guilty on Sinestro. In fact I have a theory for what has happened here which makes Warrior very likely scum.

Basically I find it to be likely the case that scum have daytalk and that they were not suspecting Sinestro because they were collaborating to guilty him. I think it took a little while to process what happened, and then a little while to come up with a plan and and to decide who to fake the guilty in the scum QT which is why we see a delay. No rash actions when you have X amount of buddies to talk it over with. I have no idea why scum would chose warrior, but there could be any number of reasons, so I don't shy away for that.

I like Sly's point. Sinestro could never actually "be on our side" at any point in this game. So Sinestro is caught flat out lying there.

That said, I think his claim is believable. If we decide to use him for our benefit, we have to be very mindful of the number count. We don't want it to ever get to a point where Sinestro would have the opportunity to flip allegiances for an assured win with the scumteam if the numbers get too thin.

Not possible. If he is SK, he is last man standing more than likely, and he will gladly shoot anyone town tells him to, hoping of course that every shot he takes keeps the game in balance. As numbers dwindle, it will become more and more difficult to get rid of him because wasting our time on SK is less time spent trying to lynch mafia. We are already down 5 town to 1 mafia.

Remember that killing the SK helps us because it takes one kill away at night that could potentially hit town and also lengthens the amount of time we can spend hunting for mafia.

Also don't forget that we will never come to a consensus on who SK can shoot, and the SK leash shot can just as easily be influenced by scum as town. You do not leash an SK.

No. Sure scum lynch > fuzzy lynch.
Especially in this setup where the longer a large mass of town players remain alive, the longer the game will last, increasing the number of night phases, which make the more likely that abilities may permits confirmation via cycling. Redcoyote is still sus.

Lol scum hiding behind another scum in a 30 players game.

Anyway, I think we should hear warrior reply before going on with the lynch anyway.

BTW I think Peregrine may be slightly more likely town since she seems to be not outright lying about the motivation of targetting DGB.
Still it was a pretty crappy move, one I have a hard time imagining Peregrine making. And the vanishing act doesn't help. Meh, I'm undecided over this.

I'm happy to lynch Sinestro. That doesn't bother me in the slightest. I'm voting him for a reason, and we've already got a day kill anyways.

I'm simply stating that if we were to keep him around then we're going to have to be that much more careful of some sort of pact that could be made between him and the scum. If the SK were to get a neighborizer ability for one example. It's not impossible.
