I had a guy say that to me and his team was losing hard, after the game he admitted he wasn't being serious, he was just trying to enjoy a game where he was getting stomped :B

It was our Trynd that was just bad. Him and Amumu were duo queing; Amumu built thornmail, boots of swiftness and philo stone (in that order. He started clothe armor.)
Trynd had a basic copy paste build that you see most trynds do in normals. He died like 13 times to Wukong who raged every time he tried to gank me and I killed him.

I was solo top vs Singed as Vayne so I wasted shit, and then got called a noob by the enemy team because I was only doing damage because I was fed.... 2 kills. Wooooooow. It's not like they were just letting me freefarm or anything. It's not like I wasn't going mid and killing Annie every time our Heimer went back to buy and she decided to push for ages.

If this is what ranked is like then I'm just gonna stick to normals.

The enemy team called you noob. LET THEM. They are losing. They tell you they are losing by that. Let them rage, and win the game. It's that easy.

Winning by force is much harder then beating their mind, if they are that stupid. They are letting you win, take it.

mlg providence pick/ban statistics, keep in mind this is on the shyvana patch (not the fizz patch with the ad carry balance changes/new masteries/etc)



interesting notes:

sona picked in

every single game

of the tournament

soraka also picked/banned in 12 of 14 games; this is further proof that sustain is the best thing for a support to have due to the poor records of janna (no sustain) and taric (oh where did all my mana go), and the lack of alistar picks (weaker sustain than sorak/sona)

zilean picked or banned in every game as well, losing record in games picked (NA teams have an odd love affair with running zilean, even though a lot of the time it isn't that effective)

skarner picked or banned in 11 of 14 games, 0% win rate

rammus picked or banned in 13 of 14 games

maokai, yorick, trundle and graves were the "gotta have" champs of the tournament as a whole

a bit of a fear of assassins (and/or targeted banning) directed towards kassadin and akali as well

Zilean is picked for hit ult and his early zoning power, which personally I think Yorick is a better pick for. Yorick's ult is weaker in comparison, but he's actually more useful as a champion.

That's what I can tell from my limited understanding though.

You know Zilean's ult is completely countered by not focusing them until it wears off, and that Yorick makes TWO of the AD carry right?

Yorick's ult is

very rarely

used to revive. It's more of a dps-adder to the team. Think of it like a (ad) shaco clone: you make it to increase the deeeeeps by creating a

second version

of the deeeps bringer. (thinking about it yorick ult on shaco would be funny as hell). Two full health caitlyns beating the crap out of the enemy team and then if you happen to kill the original caitlyn she's still bringing in some extra dps.

Right I understand that, but that wasn't the focus of my thought process when comparing Yorick's ult to Zilean's.

My partner has been playing Yorick recently and every so often he'll say 'My ults on you so go nuts'. Well, that's great and all but i really wouldn't give a kill to the other team just because a yorick ult is on me, perhaps if it'd net me two kills easily, but still. I guess Yorick has a more offensive style of the move, whilst Zilean has the more defensive version - both equally powerful in different circumstances.

i'd rather have two of a carry for that portion of the fight with the possibility of extending the life of them than extending the life of them in a position where they'll likely be a focus target for the extended part of said life

Mediocre is the wrong word I think, there are "better" mids sure but when you chose him it's because he does something no other mid can (well maybe kayle). Zilean is narrow yes, but within that arc he's the best in the game. -shrug-

I'm coming from playing mostly WoW as far as PvP games go, and that has a lot more emphasis on spamming the uber leet skillz and a lot less emphasis on being cautious and waiting for your opponent to make a mistake. I mean, there's that too, especially in arenas, but there's a

less of it.

It's odd, i found myself put against 30's with ridiculous amounts of wins when i was pre-30 but now i'm never put against anyone but level 30's or with anyone but level 30's - where's my chance to gloat damnit?!

Since it was my first time, I just started at wolves > wraiths > double golem > go to top lane to assist > B > get blue...

I didn't get everything. Also, I didn't have time to finish the rest, because I was trying to cover for lanes too.
