So, I say narwhal is town. How is that bad? I was simply stating what I thought at the time. However, the fact that I haven't seen a post from narwhal lately makes me think that he's coasting because some thinks he town

Right now, I am so confused with myself as to who's town and who isn't in this game. I've been reading the thread trying to deduce this, but it just makes me more confused. The whole debate between Kuribo and Thomas still seems like town v town to me, though the latter was doing more defense than anything else (which is more than me... so yeah). It just think it would be kinda of difficult to scum hunt, when alll of your attention is focused on defended yourself while one person is attacking you, his form of scumhunting. I just don't think that it would be valid to accuse someone of being scum for only defending themselves when they would be scumhunting if they were town. Those are my thoughts currently

Ugh, sorry for not posting. I've been busy.

I had a scumread on your slot, kuribo, because of J, but I have a townread on you individually because I see definite scumhunting on your part. I do disagree with you about Jora, however. I have a slight townread on him because even though his attack on DJ (which makes up the bulk of his posts) is very illogical, it seems to be more emotionally/personally motivated than scum motivated at parts, and I've come to realize that such blatant illogical reasoning is more a null tell than anything else.

And I do agree about GNR. Like you've all said, he's just there. He hasn't shown any initiative and hasn't shown any effort at scumhunting. He's at L-1, though, and we still have time, so I'm not going to hammer now.

I have a slight townread on DJ and a more definite one on Adc, as well. I was a bit wary of Trevor after his weird accusation toward me, and I'm still waiting for the computer fairy to visit Jon so that he can post. Everyone else is null.

Anyway,

@GNR: Spending time defending yourself is fine (even though you can still call people out on scummy behavior), but the reason you're being attacked is that your only contributions so far have been your defending of yourself. Basically, you only show up when someone is accusing you of being a scummy mcscummerson, and I, for one, haven't seen much of anything from you so far that could be called scumhunting.

The council made their decision with the deadline approaching fast. At last five people turned at that guy named Riggs and they decided to bring him to Flynn.

-So he's the one behind the plot? Excellent, behead him then, Flynn said grimly.

-WELL TOUGH LUCK THEN RIGGS, councilman Don Johnson shouted half a second before he beheaded him with a katana (don't ask where he got the katana from, I have no idea myself).

'twas a cold night in Morecambe. They were all (well everyone except two of them that is) mourning the guy named Riggs and to be honest they all (EXCEPT TWO GODDAMMIT) felt guilty. Adc75 was one of these guys. In fact, he felt so guilty that he had to take a walk. At 2 a.m. With a killer running loose. In a Mafia game etc. etc.

You can probably guess how it ended. Suddenly a bulldozer appeared from nowhere and ran over him. And amazingly a fully unspoiled note was found on the body:

Hey everyone - I've replaced in to a few games and I've started with a list of my feelings on everyone which seems to work well and puts me on somewhat of an even keel with everyone else.

So without further ado (in the order of the OP):

Kuribo - Didn't have a read on [J] really from his contribution so pleased that Kuribo has taken over. Liked his posts after replacing in, jumped straight in there to give fresh views on things which I like. Seemed a bit eager to call DJ and Trevor as town but at least it came in a flurry of other analysis.

don_johnson - Completely absent early game but his arrival actually ended the RVS which was good although probably unintentional when Jora called him on it and it all kicked off from there. Wary of his record as scum. I realise that is slightly unfair but it pays to be paranoid.

daftnarwhal - I have literally no read on you at all. Post more. Do some analysis. Can't believe I've read 13 pages and have nothing to say about you. Seriously flying under the radar.

Jora - Responded to the early game pressure in a slightly weird manner, not sure about his case on don_johnson either. He did pick up on the fact that DJ has a great record as scum, good point. One of the the most active in the thread so far and has at least done a little scumhunting but damn, that hammer (more later on that)

Adc75 - Called a town v town vibe on the DJ v Jora discussion which I got reading it back as well, good spot but not necesarily a tell on anything. He then went on to really pull GNR up on his 'narwhal is town' which was good as well.

Sampson - Wary of an early L-1 and called DJ on his 'accidental' L-1, good spots. Seems overly cautious at times. Another that seems to be flying under the radar although his last post was much better.

Thomas - Very little content also. Started off nibbling at some people which looked pretty towny but then spent most of his time defending others rather than scumhunting.
Some tough people to read in this game and I'm definitely not 100% on anything yet until I've had some back and forth with people.

Now, on to the lynch. I can see why GNR was lynched, especially with his first post after being prodded early on where he said nothing except narwhal is town. Really bad start and it just spiralled from there, with him disappearing again then re-appearing with another terrible post. Really bad town play, definitely.

On my read through I got to page 12 and he only had 2 votes, ADC and daftnarwhal. Kuribo, DJ and Jora then jumped right on that wagon and drove it home, it all happened very quickly.

Let's assume there was at least 1 scum on the mis-lynch which is usually a safe bet. I'm gonna leave ADC since he was first on there and he's come over as pretty town in my first read through. Daftnarwhal gets a semi-pass for now because he was on early and I have literally no read on him at all yet. You really need to post more content.
So, Kuribo pretty much lays a 'stop lurking' vote down, DJ sheeps him. Fine he's at L-1, dude needs to stop lurking. Not really seeing anything suspicious so far then GNR posts another shitty, shitty post and Jora 'accidentally' hammers him.

So today obviously defaults to Jora being number 1 suspect. Was it really an accident? It said that GNR was at L-1 in the post literally right before his. So had he not read the thread? Is skimming the thread a scumtell? He has a lot to answer for.

As for the rest of the wagon, well it's pretty excuseable I suppose since it was hardly a 'lynch wagon' at any stage, it was more of a 'post more' wagon.

in my experience, scum get more obvious and desperate the smaller the game gets. this is 9P, so its not out of the realm of possibility for scum to be obvious. jora's logic was screwy to begin with and he certainly targeted me while ignoring two other players(i think we covered this yesterday). we have a mislynch left here, so running jora up may be our best option. i still don't like sampson either. but our new guys typed his post at night. i don't like that either. i'm thinking those three are my lynch pool today.

Not sure I see what you're saying? I replaced in during the night phase so I typed up a post in wordpad while I had time at work (where I post from) and the thread was closed, then posted it when it opened...Have done it before and I'll do it again. Didn't have time to go through and edit it when ADC was killed and it doesn't really make any difference to my analysis.

As for him being first on the wagon, as I said it was a 'post more' wagon so I'm not really giving scum points to anyone who was on it, except for the ridiculous hammer.

Hold up. I never said that DJ was "confirmed town."

What I said is that between the fact that I've played with DJ before, and the fact that I have a fairly strong town-read on him--- I'm willing to consider him town for the purposes of finding scum.

You and I don't know each other, so you wouldn't be aware of Kuribo's Rule of Scumhunting #1- "No one... NO ONE is ever absolutely confirmed town until dead or confirmed by my own role. Not anyone, not ever."
