If it were RVS, there'd be an RVS reason given. if Velz and I had a real history, or he had some real meta, it would be a jesting RVS vote. We don't, and he doesn't, so Velz is probably bad newbscum trying to mask a nervous vote with an out-of-place RVS-like reason.

AurorusVox may be scum as well. L-2 on someone that hasn't even posted yet? That's where I draw the line between lolpressurewagon and suspicious activity. Add in the bad bus in #20 (no reason given, but more or less calls him obvscum) and we're down two scum already. This is going to be an easy game.
I'm pretty sure you're scum in the other game, you pushed that wagon wayyyy to hard after defending me early in the game. As long as I've been on the site, no one has given me more trouble than you. You say we don't have a history, but as far as I'm concerned, you deserve my RVS vote for your lolscum wagon.
Side note: did you know that Day 1 was the longest day ever played on site? Thanks for lynching me. tool.Show"It is said that people who have shared traumatic experiences form a bond, and when reminded of that bond, all manner of memories, emotions, and sympathies can be conveyed between those people in mere moments, such as with a meaningful glance or a single word.

What's the point of a pressure wagon if everyone expects it to fizzle out at L-3 or earlier? There's no pressure at all there. I could go all theory but let's not.
But yeah, you're town so it's all good once you screw your head on properly.
On the other hand, look at Vel ignoring the L-2 vote. Now, did I really need to explain that was what makes him scum?THE LEMON LIVES! - Cabd- Velazanth

Call it what you will, I've read a large number of your games. I've been watching my roomate Zajnet play mafia longer than I've actually been on site. It's not even a grudge... it was a tongue in cheek RVS vote. Jeeeeeez you people lack a sense of humor.Show"It is said that people who have shared traumatic experiences form a bond, and when reminded of that bond, all manner of memories, emotions, and sympathies can be conveyed between those people in mere moments, such as with a meaningful glance or a single word.

Who's at L-2? You moved your vote off him to me.. wouldn't that make him L-3?Show"It is said that people who have shared traumatic experiences form a bond, and when reminded of that bond, all manner of memories, emotions, and sympathies can be conveyed between those people in mere moments, such as with a meaningful glance or a single word.

How did you establish that the vote was serious? (Obviously, don't discuss ongoing games in your answer.- Pine

Nah. Read the way it was phrased. If he and I had a real history together, it would be one thing. We don't. The "always" is really the word that sticks out.
His responses thus far reaffirm that it was a serious nervousvote.
@AV: There's a difference between pressure and predatory. Spartan has not yet had a chance to respond. Two or three votes is pressure. Four is intense pressure. Five is not giving him a fair chance. Entering the thread to find five votes on oneself is going to send almost anyone into panic mode, especially someone who is new (aside: newness is based solely on the fact that I've never heard of Spartan.) Putting someone at that sort of disadvantage without dialogue is not okay. Like I said, I had to draw a line in the sand somewhere, and when I saw him get to L-3, I kept my mouth shut and decided to draw the line. You crossed it."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

Wait, how?
I'm sorry my love for you is unrequited, but we definitely have a history. And in my opinion, you are always scum even if you're town. I seriously can't tell the difference in your play.
Random vote was random. Why did you retaliate so hard?Show"It is said that people who have shared traumatic experiences form a bond, and when reminded of that bond, all manner of memories, emotions, and sympathies can be conveyed between those people in mere moments, such as with a meaningful glance or a single word.

The fact that you can't tell the difference is a sign of your lower amount of skill, my greater amount, or both. It is not indicative of alignment, because it is entirely based on your inability to perceive rather than my actual actions. And we do not have a history. One ongoing game is not a history. Stop defending your misstep. That's what's scummy about your reaction - had you admitted it was a faux pas, I probably would have let it go and chalked it up to inexperience. You aren't, so I'm not.
And I don't retaliate. I scumhunt."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

Yeah. You're better than me. Do you have to be rude about it? Keeping in mind how long I've been on the site, how many games I've been involved in, and how much of your content I've read, we have a history. Even if you don't know about it.
You're a camp councellor.
That's what brought you to the site.
Summers are hard for you to play, becaue you only have phone access.
As good as you are, you can't talk your way out of replacing into a cop guilty.
I'm defending myself because I don't want to be mislynched again. Well I can say with almost full certainty by this post that you are scum. Why?
Calling yourself a mislynch is a scumtell. And on page two, no less.
I can also say that Pine is probably town. Just doesn't read scum to me this game.- Velazanth

It's coming from a place of frustration. This is my fifth game on this site, and I've had the absolute worst luck with my role pm's.
Apparently I'm just a terrible fucking player. VT every time. Mislynched every time.
The way Pine came out against me so unprovoked led me to believe it might happen again.

Ehhhh, I'm starting to see Vel Town.
Unvote
Vel's despondence (good word, kid) seems genuine. I really don't think someone of his inexperience is capable of writing his last couple of posts as scum without slipping up or overdoing it or something. Faking an emotional break is REALLY hard, especially for a newbie. Hence why I didn't say anything in 39 (I'd had a longer post written, and deleted it to see where he'd go with it.) Vel can be Town for now. Good job, rook, you passed the test.
Vote: Nintendo
I'm feeling this. Between buddying and preying on Vel without his own reasons, it gives me a bad vibe."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

First of all, that was one quick flip-flop. Second, I did have my own reasons, I said that he was calling himself a mislynch.
So with that said, you are 0-2.
Unvote, Vote Pine.- Pine

You didn't point out that it was toxic. You completely flipped your read on him in one post. On page two. And his arguments weren't even that strong.
I know you, Pine. I know you wouldn't be fooled like that if you were town, and I've seen your scum game before.
Also I might add that you only jumped to Val's defense when I called him scum.- Pine

Dude, it's pretty hard to rewrite history on page two. Props for trying.
The real sequence of events:
1) Vel does something mildly scummy
2) I point it out
3) Vel reacts scummier
4) I get on his case
5) Vel reacts horribad
6) I get aggressive
7) Nintendo sleazes onto the wagon
8) I begin to have doubts, given how easy a target Vel is, and how he really has done his homework on me, thereby proving my initial suspicion false (this is post 39)
9) Vel has an emotional break, almost impossible to fake
10) I make the leap in logic and recognize all of this, and catch Nintendo working to massage my good intentions into a mislynch, and I call him on it
11) Nintendo lolOMGUSes out of the blue, abandoning the case he was leeching off of me when I reveal its toxicity
Etc."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"
