The Rules of The Game
- Gametime Outline
- Days will last 3 weeks (21 days)
- Nights will last 3 days (72 hours)
- Times will be in EST (Eastern Standard Time; New York, Boston, Maryland, etc)
Honesty and Cheating
- In all interactions with the moderator, you must be honest.
- Do not contact any player in or outside of the game about the game unless specifically allowed to by the moderator. When allowed, only do so in the specific manner allowed.
- Do nothing that would be considered cheating.
Gaming the System
- Do not screen capture your role PM, or manufacture it in any way which would make it surely real.
- Do not attempt to use a system of robust cryptography, etc. Do not use small or invisible text to attempt to avoid detection.
Activity
- If a player does not post for 72 hours, they will receive a prod
- If either the player does not pick up the prod for 48 hours, or the player receives three prods, a replacement will be sought.
- If you know you are going to be absent a particular amount of time, post in game and PM the moderator that you will be V/LA. Please include the date you plan to be back and posting.
Lynching
- Each player gets a single vote to use during the day that they may change as many times as they wish to vote for any player which must be in bold
- Players may vote for "No Lynch." If at least half of the players vote for a "No Lynch," the day ends without a lynch.
- I do not require and do not expect unvotes when switching votes, although I have no problem with you utilizing them.
- If at the end of the day, no one has reached a vote number equal to (1/2) + 1 of the remaining playerlist, then the person with the most votes will be lynched
- If two people are tied for votes at the end of the day, the person who reached that total first will be lynched
- Once the lynch threshold has been reached, no more votes will count, however everyone may still talk until I lock the thread.
- The day does not officially end until I close the thread. As such, the deadline in each votecount is 'tentative' and votes will be accepted until I close the thread or a lynch has been reached
Behavior
- Harassment of an individual player is NOT permitted. It is the nature of the game that players will be antagonistic toward each other at times. However, it should always be kept in the spirit of a game.
- Always play to your win condition.
- Do not discuss ongoing games in the game.
- Do not discuss this game anywhere else with anyone else.
The Moderator
- The moderator reserves the right to alter any rule in the game including any of the rules found in this document.
- If the moderator makes a mistake on a vote count, please address it in thread in bold.
- PM the moderator with other concerns.
- The moderator has the final say.
- Do not post in this color, or shades similar, as I will be utilizing it.
- Days will last 3 weeks (21 days)
Set-up Specific Information
- If a player accumulates a majority of votes the following decision theory will take place:
- If the player was a Vanilla Townie, the day ends in No Lynch
- If the player was a Mafia Goon, they are removed from the game
- The setup we will be using is No Lynching Town
- If the player was a Vanilla Townie, the day ends in No Lynch
