I don't know exactly why kondi thinks that way, but it totally does look like some scumminess between the two of you. Maybe not completely connected, but you both have individual scumminess.
Slandaar is scum because my gut is now going wild on him. You are scum because as SK pointed out you overreacted greatly.

Not liking the quick wagon business. The Elmo wagon is especially bad, but I can see the reason for the DCL wagon (I just think you all jumped to conclusions too easily).

Ok there seems to be two reasons for calling me scum.

The first one was brought up by SaintKerrigan aka SK. Basically the accusation boils down to SK thinking that I am scum because he views the explanation for my vote on elmo as an exaggerated over explanation which he sees as scum trying to get towncred. [If this isn't SK's case on me, this is at least how I see it.]

I've already said what needs to be said about this from my side. You can either agree with me or disagree with me. Time to move on to the next charge.

As of early this morning Slandaar has accused me of doing something else that is scummy. Here is the accusation in his own words.

From this and the rest of the post what I gather is that Slandaar thinks I am scum because I was not active in the first three pages when Thomith, Slandaar and kondi where having their little argument/discusion mostly pertaining to metastuff.

This argument is b.s. Very much so. There are two reasons why it is wrong.

1. There are multiple non-scummy reasons to not have partaken in that conversation.

It seems to me that Slandaar is basically going OMG he didn't post for a little bit he must be scum. Let me provide a list of other completely plausible explanations as to why I didn't post from 9 to 71.

1. The amount of time between those two posts was not very long...only about a day and a few hours. Not long enough to draw even a prod.
2. I could have had real life stuff going on.
3. I may not have been interested in the meta argument.
4. I may have not understood the meta argument stuff.
5. I may have been busy posting in some other threads.

Here then is the problem with Slandaars accusation, he ignores any other likely possibilities for me to not have posted and immediately goes OMG I CAUGHT SCUM, LYNCH HIM. Seems like a rush to judgement in this case.

When combined with the next point, it is clear that Slandaars argument is baseless.

2. Five other people were not active during that time, does that mean we have 6 scum?

Ok, from posts 24-63, the only people that posted where kondi, thomith, and slandaar. No one else. Seriously, if it is scummy that I ignored the conversation, while other people also ignored it you should be calling out some other folks as well for this and not just me.


Now to respond to this question for Slandaar:

In order of scummiest to least scummy here it is.

Slandaar, sheeped KS and Thomith and votes for me being technically the third person on the wagon. Nice safe spot for scum. Then when my wagon starts to fall apart he comes up with a bs argument against me to try and start it again.

Om I am suspicious of him a little, but not if Slandaar is scum. Honestly, while I don't mind people defending me, I would agree with slandaar that what he is doing makes me and om look like a scum pair, which I find annoying because that isn't the case.

ive suspected you for a while, you offloading the stating the obvious thing onto me has made me suspect you more.

1. My point was that your point was completely unnecessary, given that it doesn't lend credence to the idea that DCL is guilty. It was obvious enough that I felt justified in poking some fun at you by quipping, "Speaking of stating the obvious" back at you, as you had been accusing DCL of doing.
2. Where am I using WIFOM?

How exactly was I looking for a scapegoat? Why am I trying to look for a scapegoat? Wouldn't Elmo have been a better choice in this regard?

I'm starting to feel bad vibes from Slandaar, because to me it seems like he's not really been trying to scumhunt, instead opting to sheep and go with lame filler cases.

I don't know what to make of Thomith. His behavior reads scummy, but my mind has trouble believing that he would actually say the things he's said as scum.

Both Slandaar and Thomith have been making awful pushes against DCL as of late.

DCL's recent material and attitude is causing me to reconsider my stance on him.

Hippo's rhyming puts me a bit on edge. I'm worried that he could use this style of posting to disguise a lack of content, and since his posting hasn't been as frequent as some, that further fuels my fears.

Kondi is not really that engaged at the moment.

Om seems townish to me. More so than Slandaar, at least.

you did sort of take it out of context as he was saying (i think) the case SK has on his is not unreasonable, but you didnt put the whole quote so it could have been misinterperated, and he then said he knows why you drew the pair but it isnt true, i dont see how that is saying it is good.
