Sorry for trip post, but I don't get the scum did/did not pick up PMs argument. The game opened - it would not matter who did or did not pick up PMs, because the game was open regardless, no?

The game starts with two scum being sent their role PM (according to the wiki). The two of them then have to decide whether or not to recruit someone. This means that they both needed to have confirmed and been discussing whether or not they recruited, and who. After they make that decision the other Role PMs are sent out. The two of them must have confirmed by now as they already discussed who they were going to recruit, if anyone at all.

I'd be inclined to think that the decision to recruit would need to be unanimous among the both of them, which is why I'm pretty sure two of them are in the eight... although there's one way to find out.

@mod: For the mafia to recruit on Night 0, does the decision have to be unanimous?

A quick question to everyone: if you were about to post in your scum QT, would you first instinctively confirm you got your role PM, or would you post in the QT first?

Scum don't necessarily need to confirm, because they might want to extend pre-game a little bit.

@ the questions,

in my opinion we should assume we have 3 scum as it is safer, that way we have the safer example to go on making us less likely to mess up a lylo/mylo.

if we have a cop they shouldn't out a guilty unless it is the last guilty of the game (if we have lynched 2 scum in this case)

That's a good catch rigs... but as others said it could be more of at least 1 scum in 4 and 1 scum in 8, but there is porbably at least 1 scum in the 8 that confirmed.

Just to put a stop to it, the people that "haven't picked up pm's" Should have been "Haven't confirmed since I opened the thread". Since people were supposed to confirm via PM, I used "picked up" versus confirmed. I promise, alignment is indeterminate and taking is as such is an "At your own risk" type move.

I will absolutely reshuffle roles post haste if my wording issue affects the way to game plays out.
I may do that anyways after speaking with Hoopla. as I have the impression that regardless of what I say it will do so.

I didn't start the game, I expressly said it wouldn't start until9/12 had confirmed. You guys just took it and ran. :0 I still haven't started the game, which is the primary reason I'm likely to reshuffle roles.

A small rule addendum I have just been notified about:

If the setup contains two jailkeepers, and they target each other, their night actions will both fail.
