Eh. I think people take inhouses as a chance to show off their skills to more people than usual, hence the picking of the good champs much of the time.

When playing with just a team of 5, I'm more willing to be all "hey I haven't played veigar in 6 months; let's GIVE IT A TRY."

If in houses were for just "trying out new things", then it should always be blind pick- because draft implies you are trying to do something here.

I don't play inhouses as much because I'm not confident in multiple roles, and I feel like always playing support is so expected and boring of me.
But the game is no fun if one side gets completely facerolled- and if I were to pick anything else I would indeed probably just cause my team to lose. And I don't like that kind of pressure.
Another reason I dislike inhouses is because I am heavily afraid of infighting. People getting mad at each other or people BOASTING to the other team ... It's just not an environment I find fun. ~_~
I do enjoy watching JD's streams though, those are always entertaining. :b

I don't really like Galio as a support, UNLESS he is actually taking farm. Then that's okay I guess.

The problem is my team always gets stomped when I don't. It feels like if I don't try, we lose because someone on the other team is and gets fed out the ass.

EDIT: I don't remember ever losing my lane in an inhouse except as Kennen against Gamma's Morg. Even that was a draw for quite a while.

All I've been playing is AD lately (like no other roles in nearly a week), I'm going to do other roles in inhouses from now on

Galio is too strong a champion to go 0CS on. It feels like a complete waste.
If anything, have Galio take the farm and GP be the support. :P

Draft mode does not implicate trying to do something here(whatever that means). It merely just disallows mirror match ups which I think everyone can agree are really really dumb. Oh also blind countering.

If you come into inhouses and just say beforehand you want to play X then I'm pretty sure everyone will be fine with you playing X. If you can learn something about something or someone in the game a faceroll isn't all bad. You need to be more confident in yourself around us. In houses are literally for nothing, not normal elo, not ranked elo. Nothing. They can be used for ego boosting, but that's irrelevant. So if you're not willing to experiement there when it's quite possibly the best time to do so(listen NOBODY is going to dislike you if you play something you want to try out and don't do well.) Just use the information you gained(and don't get frustrated) and use it next time you play that hero.

What? I love mirror matchups, those are hilarious. I greatly prefer blind pick to draft- blind pick is way more fun. It's like a surprise!

I'm saying draft implies you want to counter things, you want to ban certain champs out. It implies you are "tryharding" -if you will. And I don't see anything WRONG with try harding.
Which is my point- what's wrong with people picking what they are good with and doing what they want in inhouses? It doesn't seem like the majority is actually just picking random things for the hell of it.
But lately people have been complaining about certain people "trying too hard" to win when they win, and think that for some reason they should have not played there best to make the game more fun or something... I really don't understand it.

I can agree with and appreciate the rest of your statement though. ^^

Blind pick is beyond stupid.

I find it incredibly frustrating to lose based on the picking phase that turns out to be completely blind luck, no matter the consequences. At least in Draft, getting outpicked is your own damn fault.

Yeah- it is more luck based. But some people like luck based things. I don't think it's really all that stupid.
Also soraka vs soraka banana battles are hilarious.

Games where one team are all playing their strongest roles and the other team are trying new stuff are not fun.

vayne isn't even in my top three for ad carries, and i mostly play mid
jovian played SUPPORT when his only role he regularly plays is JUNGLE
hindu hard randomed and got Riven, who he's only played in three games before this one
MoS played Udyr, and that's not his "main", but he has some experience with him
Zerokaiser plays mid a lot but just returned to the game about two weeks ago after months off (and his main mid isn't Annie)

so yeah

just sayin'

Also every guide I've looked at (I'm using this) says that hybrid/ap Kayle falls off lategame and has more expensive items whereas AD Kayle is not only more cost-efficient but a beast lategame. I've tried her out in a few games and usually do okay, I just wasn't sure how to play against Kennen as her and got raped. Didn't take a point in my W because the heal isn't that good (until the next patch at least) for the amount of mana it uses.

[edit] just realized my main problem was forgetting to use my skin, that's why I lost

My annoyance is the fact that I can't ever play any champs that I don't main without my team being completely stomped. A guaranteed 20 minute surrender every game isn't fun, as 20 minute surrender games are a huge put off in either direction.
