Ugh, I want to go with my gut and vote Acosmist, but I'm not sure if he's scum or not.

And I haven't gotten a read on snifit.

Snifit outside of voting me (>_>lol), what seems like a good course of action at this point? Acosmist, was it crazy that JD flipped town or what?

Other M is the only Metroid game I haven't played. If Ran was devoured, something obv, ate him. Which I'm going to assume there is another Metroid creature in play. Ran was an obvious choice to nk -- eliminate one of the people who is maintaining discussion and activity, and the one who would be harder to lynch. I knew last night would probably come down to me or him, since we were so active during the last day phase.

I'm somewhat experienced. I've played on and off for years now, and this is one of the first few games I played on MS. I played elsewhere for about the last two years, however.

I don't know. I think once I removed his misunderstanding about the hiplop situation, he realized my motivation for doing that was town. Note, also, that Yates was the one pushing hard for me to say why I thought the person who killed hiplop was town...once Ran got his guilty on Yates, it no longer made sense to him that I had any scum motivation for doing it.

I think if you look at my interactions with Yates it will be obvious I'm not aligned with him. There is not much more I can do. I have no abilities to confirm me mechanically.

Since it's lynch or lose, did you claim yet, snifit?

Well, I start an hour later than I thought I did.

Shadow, how do you explain the lack of mafia nightkills?

Acosmist, can you point me to your interaction with Yates that you think shows you're town?

I said hiplop was killed by town. Note I said that from the start. I didn't want attention to be drawn to the person who killed hiplop. Since it's out, we can freely discuss why that was - the "weapon switching" part of the dayscene indicated to me a possible Samus identity, and Samus would be town. Further, I made a mental note before the crash that hiplop had said two things that were breadcrumbing Samus (which he didn't turn out to be; but, of course, the real Samus killed him for it, so Ran's actions back that up). One of those crumbs has survived; I can point it out if you want.

So, I wanted attention NOT to be drawn to the killer of hiplop.

This is what Uber and Yates said about it:

Why would you assume that was a vig kill over a scum kill? Am I missing something or was that an incredible scum slip?

Hmmm. It's possible. Depending on his level of knowledge of the flavor, it could very well be.

Acosmist, how familiar are you with the source material?

They said it was a scumslip. So I pointed out that, hey, Samus probably did it, and we shouldn't draw attention to Samus. So here is Yates trying to cover himself:

I don't really know why it was necessary to force that information out. Serious questions about Yates and Uber now.

How the hell would *I* know hiplop was crumbing Samus? I don't even know who/what Samus is [guessing, vig?].

My concern was that there were two kills and one was by Deleter. My assumption, and I think fairly so, was that the second kill was mafia. Really, all you had to say was "flavor knowledge" and have one or two people back you up. That being said, I don't know how that information would help scum more than Town being that scum would ALREADY KNOW if their kill was blocked or not. Which was kind of my point in the first place.

In other words, he drew out the reason I had for thinking the killer of hiplop was town. And then, when I did it, because I was taking unnecessary heat for it from him and Uber, he was caught fishing for what info I knew.

The VT claim...all right, so no one else has claimed a protective role. I think snifit's question for PlatS is valid at this point. And pertinent.

Looks reasonable. Yates genuinely seems to not know what you're talking about, which doesn't make sense for scumbuddies.

Yates' action around Uberninja is very suspicious, on the other hand. He spent much of D2 talking about how bad Uberninja was playing (and saying he'd be voting for him if he didn't think Baseline was the SK), but at the start of D3 he backs off on it.

Snifit and Platinum: you are the two scummiest slots, which is why I think your predecessors replaced out. Give us your reads and tell us why we shouldn't lynch you.
Honestly, if UN were still in this game it would be turbo lynch time.

But what has he said about my slot before this?

I had something on DrDoo before the reset but I honestly can't remember anymore. I think I said something about him having poor logic but that I was leaning Town on him. I'd have to go back and read anything he has posted since reset in ISO.

Okay - that was a quick ISO. DrDoo is back to doing what I forgot he was doing the last game; not posting any real content but avoiding the prod dodge. I take back my earlier statement and put him on the scummy side of null.

...Those are the only posts where he mentions my slot.
Doesn't make any sense--he calls my slot town, then null-scummy, and then all of a sudden I'm up there with Uberninja, who he spent a great deal of time attacking throughout D2. Looks like standard scum play--set yourself up for town cred if your buddy's lynched, but avoid the lynch altogether if you can.
Yates' slot also seems surprised by Uberninja's early play (D1), but largely seems to ignore him after the first or second page. Hard not to think of that as bewildered scumbuddy.

Whoever is doing the kills is an even night kill role.

I'm saying that based on flavor.

Ran died the same way House Lanister died, by being devoured. So that should explain the lack of a kill on the last day phase. So something is easting people.

Kraid, maybe? Baby kraid? I know there was a baby Ridley that was killed pre-game.

Having an even night mafia could balance out the odd-night SK, and one shot- Vig roles.

I've been fooled by him before, and he's good as scum being town. This is adifferent enviroment and I replaced in. From his posts post-crash, I can believe that he's town.

I'm not sold on you though. I haven't done an iso yet on you out dr doo, but I'm drinking niue sure do that later
