Indeed it does come from the thread. The penalization does work both ways. Neither of us wants the other dead, for more than just the fact that we're both town.

I'm not seeing how your role is anything but a traditional one with the only twist being that it's not predetermined, in which case I think it would be pretty stupid to use it. Is there any other aspect to it other than the 'penalization'?

As far as I know for sure, my death only affects ShadowGirl in a way other than the loss of my role and the loss of a townie. Anything's possible, though, and from what I do know already, I've learned to expect that people don't know everything about their role from their role PMs.

RedPanda: Problem with this method on townreads: it usually nails town in early game and/or newbtown, but I don't dare to use it with most experienced players/in late game, since behaviors grow more muddled then. But in early game? It's awesome.

There is no point in killing brizingre1; the moment there is a town flip and he remains alive, lynch him. He's probably town due to that role.
ManiacalLemon slot is likely town, because there is actually no scum motivation in bothering to claim that role. But that's a flimsy read.
I really really really want to have a townread on knox. And I think he's actually trying to do things with that PR, which makes him likely town too.

Amrun, most scum doesn't really get out of their way to break setups, help counteract post restrictions, etc. It's the same reason I have a townread on mafia_n00b, and it's why this kind of townread doesn't work well with experienced players. Call it 'early game kindness-curiosity'--town will move out of their way to figure stuff and help others even if they don't have a solid read on them, scum not so much, they already have the info.
