With regards to just taking slots from the queue to replace players:

This. I apologize if I was unclear before about my preference for taking directly from the queue. If a player has failed to pick up a PM and it is holding up the start of the game, feel free to take the next Newbie in line so as to keep the queue flowing. I want everyone to have an equal opportunity to play a new game from the start if they wish.

A couple announcements:

I've been sick for the past few days so I haven't had a lot of energy to do anything. The next game will be distributed in the next couple of hours. I'll put the second one up in 24 hours pending there are no MIAs from the first one.

Thank you everyone for keeping up with replacements and announcing when they're filled.

There will be some changes made to the queue soon, so I'll keep everyone posted on that. Right now, we're discussing new Newbie Game setup ideas/options, so as to not remain complacent with any one setup. This won't concern how you sign up/are placed into games, so continue to do that as normal.

If you want to replace into a specific game, you should PM its moderator. (Otherwise you often end up with crossed wires and replacement offers being missed, etc.).

Also, a question. I have completed 2 games, at least, on the site. However, said games were about five years ago. Is there an amount of time after which a player goes back to being considered a newbie, or will my past games count me as a SE player?

Either way is fine with me.

You will now be considered an SE, but there are no technical responsibilities for them within the game so you should be fine.
