No, but we're going to collaborate together and vote the same people.

And yeah basically a trust circle where we get to kick people out if they're scummy and add in the townies

PEdit: Yeah, but I'm starting it like this.

by the way Matt is probably scum

Ok cool.

I have NEVER seen an immediate voting bloc before and I think it will suck ass and fail epically.

A voting bloc is when people basically join together and collectively vote together. It keeps a group cohesive and increases the stability and power of the group. Voting blocs are actually usually very good ideas: that is, when the players in the voting bloc trust each other / have townreads on each other.

The reason this voting bloc is retarded is because the players in the bloc don't yet know anything about their alignment so they don't have townreads on each other.

Kondi, I would think this bloc was dumb even if you had included me in it.

P.S. That voting block before we can really even start the game is a terrible, terrible idea. None of them are town reads, so you're just pretty much giving a bunch of random people the ability to have 5 votes instead of one, just by telling the vote block to help them. One of them could
easily
be scum, considering your list is based on who are your friends.

And of course, you left me out, which means that you don't have all of the town in there.

Vote: Kondi

1) Created a BS "town" bloc, which screams overzealous scum.
2) Called the first person (me) to disagree with the idea scum, seemingly attempting to dissuade any discussion that disagrees with his idea.

when are voting blocs not retarded...seems like a way for one person to increase the power of their vote arbitrarily. If everyone makes their decision on their own it seems more likely they will make the right one...wisdom of crowds anybody?

I am not sure what this town block thing is but i don't think making it so early and and so quickly is a good thing. Everyone on that list has not even posted towards the game and you have already included them into the block. I would totally support this if it was later into the game, where people had a chance to post, explain themselves, introduce themselves, post their ideas, ect, ect. After that i think would be a good idea to make such a list of people in the list. Making a random list of most likely random people is just kind of weird to me, as some of those could be your scum buddies.

Just saying, i don't like it.

Ok, let me give you an example of when voting blocs are useful:

There are 9 players left. 2 scum. Five players are practically identified town. With their votes scattered the 2 scum can easily use their two votes to greatly influence the lynch. If just three town vote the wrong way the scum can tag on and cause a mislynch. However, if the 5 town vote together then even if the two unconfirmed town vote wrong it doesn't matter, the mafia can't control the lynch (since they'll only have 4 of the 9 votes).

It basically can prevent mislynches and greatly hinders the mafia by making their vote less powerful.

/confirm

I'm not against this voting block idea curiosity-wise, but I'm not for it personally. It's way too plausible for scum to be a part of it which seems like an easier way for scum to hide by voting with the group. A the same time I'm curious to see exactly how this affects this game because I'm also new to the idea of a voting bloc. Kondi, why specifically those 5? I'm not as suspicious of you as the ones above unless you try to use this 'voting bloc' as some kind of shield, so only time will tell.

I'm going to make a vote towards VOTE: Kassadin unless he proves to me he's not just going to troll this game.

yeah but at the same time it seems to me like if you think the ppl in the bloc are town, and everyone does, they wont get voted for anyway...idk still seems dumb to me...

The point of the voting bloc is not to prevent people in the bloc from getting lynched as much as it is to make the scum's vote less powerful.
