yeah there are lots of things that benefit town...scumhunting...i mean this is my second game so idk i guess...like using power roles effectively...maybe thats a stupid answer but this is my first non-newb game and idk a lot of strats..

i explained it better at the bottom of the post...its not that he is "excited" about it as much as it is that he is the ONLY one who reacted to it without saying how horrible the idea was. that along with the stuff i posted about him using the "our" rhetoric to implicate that he knew everyone else in there was town at the start of the game warrants my vote

My own two cents.

Scum lynch is way better than policy lynch.
Policy lynch is way better than killing other potentially helpful townies

So right now, I don't have any clear scum tells. Which means policy lynch wins until I know who the scum are. I would love if Kass got replaced with a good player, but I am going to keep the pressure on him to see if he'll possibly fix his ways. I honestly didn't think he could be replaced because he at least shows up and posts, even if the posts are meaningless.

Now lemme bring up some points of my own, see if we can find these scums.
@Kondi: First off you didn't answer my question of 'why these 5' but I guess shotty did it for you, claiming you're all friends. Now I don't like the idea that you were reaction hunting in my gut, but it makes a twisted kind of sense and I could see that.

You say only a dumb scum would try this move. I agree most scum are trying to keep their head low, but it would also be a smart scum move to try to get some bad reactions for townies and keep yourself protected, set up easier lynch targets. So while I do believe that you were reaction hunting I can't say that absolves you of any suspicion. I just don't think your scum hunting was really that potent happening so early. It would help, however, if you were to explain what info, if any, you got out of your reaction hunt?

You jumping on Chrimi seemed really premature, like you were trying to find a target instead of looking at the evidence. You acted scummy with the voting block and your bait of matt, and he jumped on that to pressure you.

One last point: the matt bait is the one thing that's making me feel like you're more Town, but I'm still watching you.

@MattP I'd say let Trollie fight his own battles, you aren't helping and you don't even know he's not scum (unless, of course, you are). Now for you. Why did you wait to vote for Kondi until after someone else did? Your reasonings for the vote weren't affected by someone else's votes, you just didn't want to make the first move. Also I can't help but feel you're using Trollie's puppydog love for you to make your own arguments stronger.

Last thing: I don't understand why you're hitting at Venmar so hard. He phrases something what you swee as suspiciously and suddenly you were all over him. It (being 'your scumbuddies') was clearly just saying he was suspicious of Kondi.

You need to learn when to cut your losses and stop beating a dead horse. The last few posts for a while have been drivel and you've been attacking shotty for little to no reason. I would like to hear, in one concise argument, why you think shotty's scum.

We voted for Kondi at the same minute. The only reason they got their vote through first was because I was typing out an actual reason for my vote.

I probably am in some corner of my mind proud of the fact that I have a puppydog in the game. It boosts my ego.

I see that you might be confused we are buddying up so quickly but we just know each other very well and want to use that to our (Town's) advantage.

this is the post that gets my goat. shot is claiming that the bloc strategy helps them because they know eachother well and so they want to use that to towns advantage (and he uses the word OUR, equating it to TOWN via the parenthetical). If he is town, he has NO REASON to believe that the bloc is to the town's advantage--3 of the 5 in the bloc could be scum for all we know. i do not like the logical gap in between you all being friends and shot saying that because you are all friends, if you work together it will benefit town. I find it extremely scummy to argue that such a strategy benefits town in any way.

Now, Shot is trying to misconstrue this argument, and combine it with my confusion at the beginning of the game as to what a voting bloc was and why it is helpful. I am no longer arguing that voting blocs in general are not helpful (although, my intuition tells me that is the case). What my argument is, is that

this particular

voting bloc was

very unlikely

to benefit town, yet shot took it as an opportunity to claim that he and his "town friends" (however he knows they are town) will benefit by it. if he is town, he has no idea if the bloc is good or bad for town, or what his friends are. If he is scum...he knows what the bloc does and that explains why he was so sure it would help him (and his friends) out.
