Is there a list of who is supposed to counter who for top and mid lane? Because at the moment I've been using Teemo to counter Riven and WW to counter Yorick but I want to know if there are better choices.

[edit] so I've been playing lots of anti-carry Ez lately. Max W first, grab a Glacial+Brut+Tear core, expand into FHeart+Manamune+Triforce, then optional last item (either MR or more damages). Maybe not optimal but soooo fun, and I can usually shut down the other AD carry.

Vlad, singed perhaps (but that's a personal preference).

Vlad is really obvious. Post-hextech you don't care about yoricks monsters anymore, you throw blood at them etc. His sustain is at all points probably better then yoricks, and he is ranged.

Singed tends get harrassed a lot anyway, he can't really trade. So why not do that against yorick monsters who love to eat poison and a yorick who has little burst anyway? No, you won't stop yorick, yes, you'll be able to farm and be of more use late then yorick.

Vlad loses to Yorick in lane, he beats Yorick post level 7, but if the Yorck knows what he's doing the Vlad will get completely shut down early on and be useless. Yorick's sustain is also waaay better than Vlad's.

Best yorick counter - jungle ganks. One of the easiest bruisers to gank, and since he tends to be winning his lane (hehe) he tends to be pushing his lane.

Things that deal well with Yorick in lane are generally things that like to farm and have large amounts of innate sustain. That's mostly where trundle shines - and its better than that too, because if yorick ever tries to commit to a fight then he gets wrecked by trundle. Trundle's qwr is way too strong for yorick to deal with if he goes in to fight, and he cant zone trundle off farm only using his e, so trundle tends to win the lane. It's a little hairy early on, but it quickly goes trundle's way.

Yorick is also one of the better matchups for Nasus, believe it or not. He expects to get zoned early doors, but against Yorick it's a little better than normal, since he can Q the ghouls for extra q. Its also super easy for him to just farm under tower against a yorick. Essentially the period of time where yorick gets to zone nasus is actually

less

than the period of time that the majority of champions get to zone nasus, so it tends to be a pretty nice lane for him (especially when the alternative is to put some poor sap bruiser like gp top instead and watch him get annihilated).

Dont put ranged shit like ryze or vlad against him. Ryze vs Yorick is so unbelievably one sided it's just not fair. Poor Ryze...

Standard. M5 do shit and people copy it despite them having pretty specific ideas for WHY theyre doing it, whereas random pubbies really have no clue.

Riot said that they were trying to rework Yorick a bit, in particular doing some work on his ghoul AI to make it feel more like you're fighting alongside them. Ideally, if I were reworking Yorick, I'd make the ghouls themselves a more integral part of his kit rather than a secondary extra. Increase his cooldowns, increase the health and duration of ghouls, give you more control over the ghouls movement and he starts feeling more like a champion with a bit more depth than hurrdurr use everything every time it comes off cooldown. The issue really is trying to make a pet class champion without proper multi-unit controls.

What they need to fix is his broken ass passive that makes him tankier than singed.
