As for KK, nope, nothing detailed on him. We both feel that Zar is the most likely scum, and that after that, Kublai Khan is the most likely scum partner. I think Zar's just independently scummy, Reg thinks that he's scummy for meta reasons.

* 480/481 is terrible. Westeros has enough scum bussing on it that for Zar to clear everyone who got attacked by Ajax is completely out of meta and terrible to boot.
* 519 reads like the very stereotypical FoS partner, vote town. There's no conclusion on Kublai Khan like there was on other people, he pulls all the scummy stuff that Kublai Khan has done, but then votes me.

Westeros also has a big chunk of WIFOM defenses from evil players who step up to protect their scum-buddies with tooth and nail, on the basis that if they look to convinced about their buddies supposed innocence, no one will suspect them after the scumflip, which is similar to the behavior you exhibited when entering the game. You tried to start a hito wagon away from Ajax.
As for scum-bussing, I have seen this done on the dying player, not the other way around. From my experience, dying scum players fall to one of two categories either they: 1) try to smear as many people as they can on their way down, knowing that their contributions will be WIFOMED out and hope partners are cleared along the way. or 2) they avoid saying anything that might compromise their partners, by avoiding connections.

The problem is that you started drawing conclusions about BBMolla’s vote on Gaoth before Gaoth had already flipped. And you didn’t do it in a way that was conditional (i.e. saying “If Gaoth flips scum I’m looking at BBMolla as partner for his weak hop that demonstrates blah blah blah …”). You immediately took after in a way that says to me you know Magua’s alignment before he flips.

That said – your response here indicates that you are looking at BBMolla as scum distancing from a partner. What if Magua flips Town? What does that say of BBMolla then?

I also agree with Magua in that Post 519 does look very much like I forced you to comment on your partner. No conclusion about him being scum … just a list of things you feel need commenting on. I get the sense you never would have completed your read on KK if I hadn’t called you on it.

@KK - I definitely don't like KK claiming he 'town-telled' in 468. You can't intentionally town-tell. Just because I (and maybe someone else) called it a town-tell doesn't make it so. That is really scummy to me. I can understand you taking time to defend yourself in that post. But where's the follow up? Next post is asking Theam to replace out. And then more defending yourself. I get it, but where is the motion to scumhunting? From your posts I cannot honestly tell who you find scummy. Do you find MoI scummy with all your back and forth? I'm confused by your Magua vote, as you haven't talked about him at all.

I don't think MagnaofIllusion is scummy. MagnaofIllusion reminds me of my dog. Hackles are up and he's grawling at the front door, but nobody is there. My teammates said that there's no point in engaging him he's gonna see whatever he wants to see. So if there's anything you want me to address, then mention it.

I made my decision that Magua needs to get lynched today back on post #429.

Since I don't want people being confirmed/caught out by PM formatting, the D2 messages are formatted somewhat differently from D1; Faraday wrote some lead-up flavour to the ones sent out on D1 before quoting the role PMs, while I just went, "Congratulations, X! You have been awarded the blah blah blah."

Today, everyone agreed that there was no point waiting on a decision.

"We should lynch Magua," they said. "He's been 100% confirmed Ajax's scumbuddy through mathematical proofs, formal logic, and these pictures of him sitting at a table with Ajax."

"But those pictures were taken before I replaced into the game," said Magua.

"A likely story," said one of the judges.

Magua looked contemplative. "Wait a minute. How the hell does that make any sense? I'm an assassin sent by zoraster to sabotage the Scummies?"

"Stop stalling, scum. You're getting lynched today."

"But...his motivations are all because he's bitter he didn't win the Scummie for Team Mafia in 2011? So he wants a repeat?"

"Flail more, scum." They grabbed him by the arms and started dragging him toward the gallows.

On the third day, the judges were smiling and joking amongst each other as they headed to the auditorium with a spring in their steps. Now that the hard part was finished, they had the next few days to relax and enjoy the ceremony. (They probably wouldn't have been so relaxed if they'd had enough familiarity with Mafia to know the conventions of morning scenes, but zoraster didn't have enough of a budget to hire

competent

judges.)

The first person to open the door to the auditorium let out a piercing shriek.

Everyone rushed into the room. Quilford lay on the stage of the auditorium, his lifeless face the colour of chalk, his throat and wrists both slashed open. A pool of dried blood surrounded his corpse.

Fighting back his nausea, one judge approached the stage. He walked up the stairs and stopped at the edge. Upon the ground was a bloodstained knife and a piece of paper. He picked the latter up. "It says, 'Quilford's Suicide Note' on the back," he said. Then he cleared his throat and began to read out loud:

Now that Fonz has withdrawn from the competition, there is a hole in my heart. An IC's job is to guide the newbies and teach them to reach their full potential as Mafia players.
