Reread, don't have much.

If there is scum on the Ajax wagon, it basically has to be Deasvail. I'm curious to see KK's flip, it'll be very telling for DV's alignment imo.

theam's complete avoidance of main wagons is noted. Also, I know everyone is calling am weak and all, but I'm pretty sure I've played games with him where he wasn't a VI. Also noting his complete turnaround on his KK read for no reason.

Go ahead and hammer. Ask me something if you want.

Vote: BBmolla

He's making no visible effort to work out whether KK is town or scum and seems very resigned to the wagon on him.

How do you feel my involvement with the Ajax wagon is more scummy than your own?

Got really scummy feelingsabout BBmolla and Reck.

MoI wouldn't know a town reaction to anything if it bit him in the face. Which saddens me becauseit means ill never sheep him in the future.

I'm town. Do any last minute discussion you need to do. I'm going to a water p$ark with family so I won't be checking in.

I had a large post written up vis-a-vie the Cognitive Dissonance between KK calling BB scum for using a coinflip to decide where to send the Scummie while agreeing with a basically identical plan in his own QT Night 2 but apparently he has been hammered.

I will say that a Coinflip plan was incredibly Anti-Town as it only served to assure that scum could more easily manipulate the votes in a 3 member group but at this stage it isn’t worth screaming about.

Deas wrote:At least it means I'm not scum

Nope, not at all. Scum can be abjectly terrible in their play just like Town.

Here’s the facts – none of the arguments you’ve made for KK as Town are meaningful at all to anyone not Deas. You threw down lots of pointless WIFOM. You didn’t address how the points I made for him being scum come from a Town perspective. You’ve basically said “HEY GUIZ MY JUDGING BUDDY IS TOTES TOWN LEAVE HIM ALONE” which is useless.

Now if you are Town and did this go back to the drawing board on how you play the game.

If you are scum looking for “told you so” cred on a KK Town flip you pretty much assured that you will get none.

--

BB wrote:Go ahead and hammer. Ask me something if you want.

Who is actually scum? has a bunch of “I don’t like this” statements with no analysis of alignment from thos statements.

KK wrote: MoI wouldn't know a town reaction to anything if it bit him in the face. Which saddens me becauseit means ill never sheep him in the future.

What Town reaction would I be missing?

Your complete avoidance of Ajax as scum Day 1?
Your failure to do anything as far as actually scum-hunting regarding your ‘top suspects’ all game long?
You terrible “SCUM ONLY WANT TO SHARE THEIR PARTNERS INPUT” screaming fit Day 1?

Yeah if those are Town reactions they are VI Terribad Town reactions. I personally don’t think you are a terribad VI. Sue me if I was wrong on that front.

So Kublai Khan was busy looting and pillaging and fakeclaiming miller in Mafia in Emerald City and didn't notice people looking at him suspiciously. I mean you
khant
blame him - being the leader of a Mongol horde is quite tiring, one assumes.

So like, yeah. Kublai Khan was lynched and this flavour is bad as I'm REALLY TIRED and Mina is blind atm or something silly.

Hey have a song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWNaR-rxAic

Kublai Khan -
Town
and holder of the Image scummie was lynched Day 3.

Night will last 72 hours, countdown: (expired on 2012-06-07 10:26:53) Neither of us is likely to be around at that time, but all actions must be in by then.

You had trouble sleeping all night. It might have been because the sun was still out, judging by the fact that the thread icon never changed. But it might
also
have been because you feared for your life. The night seemed even longer when the brightness outside distorted the passage of time.

What seemed like hours later, Faraday came in to wake you all up. "Guys, what are you doing? It's almost noon!"

You laughed in relief as your nerves unwound.

Around you, other judges awoke...except for one.

"hito," said Faraday, nudging the lump buried under the sleeping bag, "wake up. You have work to do. Are you--?" He pushed the lump hard.

"Wait a minute," he said. Then he yanked the sleeping bag open. Inside was a giant Rainbow Dash plushie.

Whatever happened to the real hito?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thousands of miles away...
hitogoroshi laughed as the train sped down the tracks through the British countryside. He couldn't believe he'd given those suckers the slip. Mafia took too much time away from his true love: impossible and tedious video games! Why spend his time judging and dressing up for red carpet ceremonies when he could be dying over and over again on the same level after grinding for hours only to restart the whole dungeon from the beginning?
In his backpack was a ticket to the International Roguelike Convention. Whoever had given him the anonymous gift was too kind.
At Fenchurch Street Station, he got off the train. He knew just how to get to the convention center by the Underground. Within another half hour, he was there.
"Funny," he thought, as he opened the doors. "This looks kind of rundown. I'd have thought a convention for something as fun and popular as roguelike videogames would have drawn a larger crowd."
He gasped. The center was completely empty, save for a table upon which were an assortment of cosmetics, a hair dryer, a tweezer, and a large pair of nail scissors.
Perhaps registration was upstairs. He took a few steps forward...
From up above, there was a whoosh of air, and then a shock and a clang as metal struck the floor. Hito stumbled forward, and fell upon a metal grate that was suddenly in front of him. He looked around. One foot to his left, to his right, and to the back of him, he was surrounded by metal grates, like a rat in a cage, with no room to so much as spread his arms. He tried shaking the bars in front of him. Then he tried kicking them. They didn't budge.
Through the grate, he saw the figure who had just appeared in the stairwell. "No," whispered hito, feeling sick.
"Nice to see you," said zoraster. He walked down the stairs elegantly, wearing a black cape, slicked-back hair, and a full face of make-up. "I'm sorry for the cage. don't mind the cage.
"But you don't play roguelikes," said hito. "This is legitimate. I heard about this online. How could--?"
Then he looked at the tickets in his hand carefully. For the first time, he noticed the title. Upon them was written "International Rougelike Convention."
"I needed something to lure you here." zoraster grabbed some blush from the table. "Come on! This
is
a
rougelike
convention. You might as well make the most of this."
"I refuse!" said hito. He clutched the grate. "You can't make me. I'm a manly man. I won't sink to the level of Faraday or of an unnamed other person at Ponybash who will deny all stories of something involving him and copious amounts of makeup. Let me go."
For a moment, zoraster's face twisted in rage, and hito shrank away. But then zoraster stopped, his hand on his chin. And then hito's heart stopped in his throat. zoraster was
smiling
.
"All right," said zoraster. "We don't have to do this."
He placed the blush back upon the table, and reached for something silver--the nail scissors. hito pressed himself against the back wall of his cage, shaking in terror.
"There are other things that are rougelike," said zoraster, strolling forward languidly, as though he was making the most of each step. He brandished the scissors in his hand like a butcher knife. "I can make your cheeks bright and red without the help of make-up. The rest of you will be red when we're done, and the floor too, but let's take it slow."
hitogoroshi,
Town
and holder of the Image and Image Scummies, was killed Night 3.
I have to go. Faraday will officially start D3 in a few minutes.
Mod
I'm assuming Kublai's not alive.
From now on, I would like nice constructive discussion, rainbows, unicorns etc. rather than people just ignoring others. (I know this is impossible, but I can ask, can't I?)
Reck
My townread on you is pretty much gone now. I'm coming around to Slandaar's belief that you're scum.
His play regarding Ajax and the wagon/suspicion on him is typical scum-who-doesn't-want-to-bus.
In , 644 and 646 Reck demonstrates that he doesn't know about the likelihood of scum having a way of manipulating the judging process. However, in he says "It now seems pretty likely that mafia have some kind of vote manipulation ability". Normally I'd have a pretty decent scumread because of this, as it means that in 421 he was trying to honestly speculate (knowing he had a manipulation ability), but in 64_ he was trying to appear more town by not knowing anything about possible vote manipulation, forgetting that he "as town" had already started thinking that vote manipulation was likely.
The validity of this scumtell, however, is compromised by Reck's tendency to be scatter-brained this game, but I still think it should be considered and I do have a problem with Reck not being as proactive in this game as I'd expect from him in TM.
Despite the scumread on Zar, he does absolutely nothing to make a Zar lynch happen, despite me obviously being in support for much of the day. He also does nothing to try and improve his reads. He instead seems to go with the town in voting KK. But, the problem is that he considered me town and hito was obvtown, so wouldn't he be more questioning of the KK wagon with hito and I off it and Zar on?
He even uses "I'm clearly not getting a Zar lynch today" as an excuse to lynch KK, but he hasn't even tried AND I'm sure he knows that he has the influence to get it with 1. an extra vote and 2. his reputation. Lots of my previous points on Reck are really weak, but I believe this is fairly incriminating.
Another thing I don't like is his "when KK flips scum your head is mine tomorrow", as he wasn't as certain as that line would suggest, but it's the type of thing scum would say to look more wrong about KK, and therefore less like scum.
MoI
First things first, if you're town, that means you have to stop insulting me at every opportunity and we actually have to play this game and start working together.
The problem is, I'm still not sure that you're town.
It's just this excessive insulting of my play that I don't understand. In NY146 you had a townread on me, but were still kind of mean to me, and I thought "well that's probably how MoI is and if he was scum he'd probably be nicer to his townreads and prevent his hostility from coming through".
But this is just a whole new level, and I don't know what to make of it, especially the whole "even if KK is town, you're still terrible for not being able to convince me I was wrong" thing.
The only really scummy thing I remember about you was your provision of your team's reads, especially Llama who I didn't think was even really involved. Didn't your team replace him?
His pushing on Ajax is strong and probably town, but Ajax was looking pretty likely to die at that stage anyway, so I wouldn't be surprised by MoI bussing there.
Oh, I guess MoI's still a townread, but I would like others' thoughts on him.
BBmolla
I think he's the most likely to be scum.
His Ajax vote is a bit early, but I wouldn't be surprised by it considering the likely 4-town wagon of me, MoI, Hito, Quil. Scum would probably feel the need to get themselves on there actually. This is supported by the fact that he just seems to go along with the suspicion on Ajax, without much questioning of it or exploration of other reads and makes a show of saying, "I would vote Ajax here, but gotta be pro-town and check with mod first".
is too self-conscious (although I remember using that as a scumtell against him when I was scum, so now I'm unsure), but I do think that is justifying his scumread rather than using the opportunity to get others to vote Ajax.
I feel that the fact that he doesn't try to get a wagon on KK day 1 is rather telling, indicating scum feeling the need to commit to the Ajax wagon in order to not look like their buddy. There was no time constraint, nothing to stop Molla-town from wagoning his strongest scumread.
His posting toward the end of Day 3, I also find scummy, particularly his resignation to the KK lynch despite there being some resistance to it and his lack of attempt to improve his reads. Also, suggesting that I was scum with KK-scum is a really bad accusation that I feel would only come from scum trying to look like they actually think KK is scum.
Things that make me doubt my read are his saying he doesn't feel a KK lynch on Day 2, which is very inconsistent with his other posting on KK and possibly too inconsistent for scum, and I'd maybe expect him to be less controversial and more pro-town-looking as scum.
