@saulres: your post restriction didn't quite make your slot impossible. You could have faked a post restriction that you weren't allowed to claim at all, for instance. Or that you had to claim to be anti-town in every post.

I did say I wanted Phillammon in LyLo, and for a second, he almost pulled it off. I knew something was wrong with him just voting Trevor like that; he's not that dumb.

Also, Phillammon, I don't know if you know theam's meta too well, but I do, and when I was unvanished, I called him town in my Notes QuickTopic right away. Then later on, I connected Candy Corn Vampire (the original owner of the slot) with Gimmicky Alt, as when Gimmicky Alt posted "following mcqueen is going down the wrong road," I knew Candy Corn Vampire would say something like that.

On the contrary, I shouldn't have been voting mafia-n00b. I didn't believe the confirmation by PokerFace, as he'd been oddly suspicious of me all game, so I wasn't sure what was up.

In particular, I'd like to know what people think about the balance of the game. Both of my reviewers seemed to think it was pretty good, but it was the first setup I've designed and actually run.

I actually couldn't. I asked izak, and lying about my post restriction would have counted as breaking my post restriction.

Alluding to an ongoing game (Paranoia Mafia) as you did, under the guise of 'ethics'? Not cool. There were many players in both games, there were probably players reading one or the other, you could have destroyed

izak and Magua's work in the process. Once and for all, you need to learn that this behavior is not acceptable. I don't care how emotional you get during the game, doing this breaks site rules and forces players and mods into a mad scramble to patch things as possible. You need to learn not to act in a way that so damages games.


Good job, CFJ. I don't think the other mafia played particularly well, but you did. You deserve this victory.

There were many players in both games

That was really, really hard for me, having so much overlap and differing alignments.

Yeah, some of the roles were really nasty at times. Amrun was supposed to be the Werewolves' big counter to Haddock, but her dying before she really used her powers meant saul was screwed.

If I do make another similar game, I think I'll be focusing more on the "awesome-crazy-worst" roles rather than the "really fuckin' horrible" roles. More like a madness than a bastard.

I felt that with scumteams so small, they needed some sort of cross-kill protection. Perhaps a doctor-equivalent each, although that's hard to put into a Worst Roles game. The problem is that with no crosskill protection, it would have been quite plausible or even likely for town to win without a single correct lynch, especially as the masons made it much easier for scum to hunt each other than for town to hunt scum. When Vi talks about the power of Neighboriser (he/she uses American spelling), he/she has quite a strong point. Apart from that, it worked out pretty well.

Ironically, it wouldn't have made any difference; I don't think the wolves would have predicted our kills on them, and they never targeted us.

I'm not really a fan of bastard games, but I replaced into this one because I felt somewhat responsible for creating it in the first place, being a regular Worst Roles poster. And as scum, it was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed playing with most of the players on the playerlist.

@saulres: you wouldn't lie about your post restriction either, you'd just not claim and lead people to come to incorrect conclusions about what it was.

I know that wasn't Protown, but I basically envisioned another MLP game where I was put under pressure and my fate was already sealed.

Plus, I didn't actually know I was town at that point. I'm asking before then, why was there pressure. Both Saulres and Amrun in my opinion were very scummy for going after me in the way that did and I am glad that I was suspicious of them given their alignments.

Tierce, I legitimately was upset about you saying I was pseudo lurking when I told you in confidence what I was doing with my time at that point in the Paranoia qt. I came very close to just replacing out of this game because I didn't think that was fair that you would say something like that. I know now that you weren't referencing that, but given what had happened (the revelation of what I was doing with my time and then your accusation were very close to each other so I assumed they were connected).

Bleh, seems RedPanda did figure out I was scum quite quickly. I tried, but it's really hard to look town in a neighbour QT.

(Our last conversation was very much that of two scum trying to have a discussion without giving away that they were scum, it's pretty fun to read if you know the alignments.) That said, there would have been serious backstabbing going on eventually, and probably sooner or later; it'd have been more like Diplomacy than Mafia.

I dunno, maybe. I said this somewhere and I meant it -- I think I was picking up on you trying to look like town, which is borne out by your not knowing if you were town or not. So at some level when you were playing it you did have to try to look it, rather than actually be it. It's subtle but I like to think I did pick up on it.

And yet, it is not something you should ever call out in-thread. You could have torn both games apart.

Next time, think before posting and don't assume things that have nothing to do with the present game. When you are aware I respect game integrity
