lol so funny how the last lynch just worked out. the odds of how this game turned out were very improbable. I dont think the game was set up initially that un-balanced. but pine was found by janosz real quick, and the game would have been very different if RBT gave a shit.

It depends on the person you ask. The most "true" definition is that a game is bastard if the mod lies to the players, but it could also mean "very unbalanced" or "has wacky roles," depending on the person's personal definition.

So town can't win a mini normal with 5 scum, without something amazing being in the town.

A tracker, a miller, a PGO, and a 50% sensor are not amazing.

So basically depending on who found Pine first, the game would have been awful in two different ways.

So it was DESIGNED to be swingy, based on who found the lynch pin role first.

Not defending it, really, as I think this setup was crazy unfair to Town, but if you're going to criticize, do so right. Game started 10:2:1, and only later became 8:2:3

Oddly we had the power roles for 10-2-1

- tracker (mediocre investigative)
- PGO (kills 2 townies, 2 scum)
- miller
- 50% sensor affected by miller


So 10:2:1 with only real town power being a tracker isnt very town sided.

It really was a pity about the long interruption in the game. I think we were finally getting a hold on the game, and afterwards everything was gone. I honestly never suspected Benmage before, but his sudden claim was just too scummy. It was just bad luck he ended up in that situation, it could've happened to anyone. But well, after he appeared to be town, I guess it was already over.

It was a fun game, I wasn't very active all round, but I enjoyed it

See the issue I had with the Power roles, was I wanted to keep it within the confines of the film without over powering them. The Scum team were just goons so all they had were their NKs, so when looking at the basic setup the game actually favoured town especially if the town had found Oscar first as it would have then made it doubly hard for the scum to win. If town had lynched anything other than themselves everyday the game could have been very different. I was trying to design a new mechanic to add a bit of excitement to the mix. However Benmage claiming he hated the game from the second post on page 2 wasn't very helpful IMO as it a set a negative tone to the whole proceedings, then the claiming broke out early (Zeek im looking at you) which again made things harder for town. I actually think that the town were victims of their own play here and Amrun & Seanald didn't have to work that hard to win. One thing I learnt very early playing on this site, is don't play outguess the mod as it always leads to town downfall.

That all said though I appreciate your comments and in my next game that I mod I won't try and be so clever without testing, testing, testing and then testing some more.

THe sensor would have not shown you up as Scum. I think there is some terminology confusion that I have caused. Ghosts were my term for scum, however I should have stated that not all ghosts were scum in this game. As you were aligned as a VT, you would have in no way shown up on the sensor's result.

No, the Running ghost, scoleri bros would have turned up gjost as would Vigo. Because they were anti town faction. As would have Oscar and Janosz once they were enabled as they were anti town element. Because slimer was town he wouldn't have registered as a ghost. My wording has been really poor here and for that I'll hold my hands up.

Kind of sucked for Town that we didn't have a single protector role OR protected role [ie some kind of BP].
