Tierce wrote:Fixed the quote, and no, this is definitely not a good direction. It's not because MattP is calling me town (goodness knows that scum are often the biggest defenders of obvtownTierceread), but:
1) Town "intentionally misquotes" all the time, as often or more as scum do--because town feels at liberty to mock other players. No one in their right mind looks at MattP's post and assumes that was what Near actually wrote;
2) MattP isn't afraid of contradicting himself in the span of a couple of posts. Sure, scum make contradictions, but they are usually spread over days/game days, as their intentions change and they need to push more mislynches. I'd expect scumMattp to take care about his consistency in his initial posts.
And you two should know this.

1) You're welcome to back this up if you want, I'm more than willing to listen to evidence against my personal tells, but it likely wont convince me otherwise. I don't call these my personal tells for nothing, and I sure as hell don't use them willy nilly. I am not, nor do I ever, saying that anyone should be lynched for a personal tell of mine. I use them to find suspects, nothing more. If Matt is towny enough that I am unable to build a legit case on him and convince others, then kudos to him. But just be forewarned, don't try to derail his wagon based on my scum tell, because it's not going to work.
2) Cool, that's your opinion then. Wish you had let him say it, it might have made a difference then. Now it means shit. If he is town and this is some kind of legit play from him, then let him defend himself against the wagon and we can decide for ourselves. (I personally have never played with Matt for long enough to know how he plays one way or the other, so while I appreciate your opinion I need to come to my own conclusion on it, specifically through discussion with him.)
sorry, who the fuck are you? Do you even know me? What makes you an expert on what I should and shouldn't know? And should I know 1, 2, or both? From my point of view I 'should know' neither of them. (It's called a Korlash personal tell, so I certainly shouldn't know 1. And I've never seen Matt flip in a game I've played with him, so I can't know his town play, thus shouldn't know 2. It's a nice quip there at the end and all that, but it's misplaced)

Wait, are you starting an 'anyone who is against Matt is scum" campaign here? because that's only going to spur on his wagon you know. You should stop this, it's stupid.

*claps* great argument. You've totally convinced me. What in God's name was I thinking... *Polite laughter*
It doesn't make him town either, so I'll stick to it until i see something from him to suggest I should look elsewhere. (Or I see something sufficient elsewhere, I'm not blind or tunneling or anything... >>)

And how many players have made unexplained votes that you haven't suspected them for? Why is it a scumtell with MattP but not with others?
Hi, I'm Korlash. Expect it. *shakes hand*
It's a scum tell for him because it doesn't make sense. You just read my 'case' you should know this. His vote on Near, doesn't match his placement of Near on his scum list, nor does it explain how Shmugen got to be his new number one OVER near, who were both called scum in the same post. IT MAKES NO SENSE WHICH IS WHY NO EXPLANATION IS SCUMMY!
He has added stuff alongside his vote that makes me infer his vote as fake/unthought out which makes it suspect, savy? Saying "Vote: Player X" without reason as a standalone action, has no other stuff, and thus is not AS suspect.
Don't try this 'oh, if everyone jumped off a bridge' style argument, it doesn't work against me. I'm too fucking stubborn.
