D3f3nd3r

Regalia had been around since Roman rule - or at least the concept had: a secret unit of the government that operated above the law. With centuries of crime literature to follow, it all seems rather clichéd now. But it was still a tightly kept secret back then.

D3f3nd3r was one of the first to be recruited to Regalia. The appointment came after years of service in the Army and to the King as a royal guard. The first thing he had been told upon joining was that a crime syndicate, Sicarius, was the sworn enemy of British rule and that their goal was to neutralize it at any cost. So when its leader’s location was revealed, Regalia left posthaste, taking some officers from other divisions as backup. However, with the murder of their captain, it was soon very clear that there were traitors on board. Knowing that they also had the means to isolate someone, the Regalia officers spent most of the day debating what to do and with whom. Eventually, they decided upon disposing of D3f3nd3r and quarantining Espeonage, another officer. The decision’s wiseness would only manifest over time.

Espeonage has been quarantined. He will not be able to use any abilities he may or may not have tonight, nor will he be able to be acted upon.
D3f3nd3r has been lynched. He was a
Regalia-aligned Bodyguard
.

It is now Night 1. All actions must be received within 48 hours from the time of this post.

The crew awoke the next day to find another body, one of their own, slain and still on the deck.

Ser Arthur Dayne,
Regalia-aligned Vengeful
, has been killed on Night 1.
Espeonage has been released from quarantine; he may not be quarantined today.

First Vote Count of Day 2

Lynch:

[11] Not Voting - [Everybody]

Quarantine:

[11] Not Voting - [Everybody]

It is now Day 2. With 11 alive, it takes 6 votes to lynch and 6 votes to quarantine. Deadline for this day is July 9, 1630h UTC+12.

I agree with Peon: we're more likely to have scum off this lynch than on it. Last two votes were of expedience to ensure something happened before deadline, so no fault there (though I would like to take another look at Phil). I'm going to have to let Shotgun off the hook after his premature claim. It could be a really clever gambit, but I see no indication that Shotgun is clever (or that he's even really paying attention to this game). I've been trying to sort out the early wagoners, but even Mala and Trollie's votes don't hit me the wrong way. Defender was a lazy lynch target, and nobody was looking to strain themselves yesterday. Especially after the wagon got to 5 and everything else stalled, scum knew they could sit things out and still get their lynch.

Vote: Psyche

Usually scum don't stick together, especially on a bandwagon. There's probably a scum not voting, scum voting on the main wagon and then the opposing wagon. At least that's my usual experience with how scum act on the other site, but these sites are different, but I'm sure there are some similarities.

Tomorrow I'll do a quick read on everyone on the main lynch wagon and see if I can find anything suspicious. This is my input at the moment.

So I'm going to go ahead and say that at the moment I only have four town reads not including myself.

I will happily follow any Quarantine, because atm it's become clear everyone has a different stance on how it should be used. That said I am of the belief that it should be used, so I'll support making that happen.

As for lynches, any wagon on one of the people I'm unsure of will have my support. I however reserve the right to change my reads, naturally.

Btw, for future reference. CLAIM PROPERLY. I wouldn't have hammered the guy if he had claimed a power role like he was.

Indeed, Defender should have claimed properly. I have the same experience as Mala with the mafia split. Mafia tend to split their votes on uncomfortable wagons, but, It is something that needs to be careful and not used as a main reason to lynch anybody. Primarily because at day one, the odds are against town if that is followed through.

Psych, it's about time you gave us your take on everything, You've had plenty of time to read the game over.

Am I the only one that kinda wants Psyche to wait until everyone has done their shit, lurk some more, then burst out with something awesome in about three irl days from now?

I really want that to happen, especially if he ends up voting one of two people because it will mean my thinking isn't as retarded as I think it is right now.

lol

I won't wait any more than 2 irl days, and even that is pushing it.

ok, I am back from my week of V/LA so I now have computer access as opposed to just phone, so I should be going full steam now…
and damn….we are off to a pretty lousy start…
Unfortunately, Sir's PR hints are probably what got him killed...

Couple of people i would like to look into today:

Phil:

his play has been pretty lacking, which he says is due to exams…fair enough…however he has some inconsistencies…
here he mentions that he is VERY suspicious of Mala after I asked him about her, yet doesn't place a vote on her (at the time the wagons were pretty tied up Mala and Espe both had 3 votes each and Trollie and Guille with 2 each)
Post 237
Phil wrote:In reaction to Sword, on Malakittens I'm very suspicious. The claimed meta seems at odds with anything I could find there, or with a fair bit of the play we've seen here. Combined with the weird site to site meta stuff, I'm suspicious, but the volume of posting and thus useful discussion, if not particularly scumhunting, is handy. 48 has my hackles u immediately on a quick glane through the ISO.

then when he gives his reads (D3f3nd3r is the leading wagon with 5 votes and Mala is counter at 3):
Post 321
Phil wrote:
Mala: I... can't really read you at all. The various problems we've had with meta aren't helping. Null.

not even null/leaning scum….just null…if we was very suspicious before, why just null now? He mentions it's partly because of the meta, but he also stated that he read the meta previously in his suspicion statement.
could be so as not to give any more weight to the Mala wagon, and then in 323 he states that the leading wagon happens to be is closest thing to a scum read.

Malakit and NabNab

again i seriously would to have liked to see a Mala flip…and if I had the time last week I would have pushed harder for it…
sword_of_omens wrote:On my phone...sorry, didnt get as much free time as i'd like on Friday, while getting ready from my trip..
Anyhoo I am still limitted access this week and will probably post at night on my phone, like now until I get back...
I think i might be interested in voting Malakit or Brundi/Nab today...i wanted to keep an eye on brundibar, because almost all of his posts were directed at Malakit in a way to me that looked like coaching, and then followed up with a vote for no reason on Espe..now Nabakov has replaced in and seems to subtly back Malakits play......

I also now see Brundi's timing…
Mala was the leading wagon with Espe (3 votes each) when Brundi jumped in and voted Espe out of nowhere and without reasoning..it looks as if he was taking pressure off of the Mala wagon…
ISO Malakit and Brundi and tell me that it doesn't look like defense and coaching
Based on the interaction of Malakit and Brundi, along with the Nab's post below where he also backs her play, it looks like they could defintely be scum together:
NabNab wrote:I'm not going to fault Mala for advocating no-lynch early. Most sites have a much more night-heavy meta, so I don't think she understood that MS games are won and lost almost entirely during the day. Jury's out on play after that point. Her trust of Peon has been idiosyncratic but internally consistent, and I notice that it was behind her vote on Defender (which sets it apart from the totally craven wagoning we got from Ser and Shotgun)

Vote : Malakit

i will also be taking a closer look at Trollie and Guille...

I don't see how two sites could be so different, Mala just seems like shes really milking it. Every other post is about the differences in the sites. I'm leaning anxious scum, I've been right about this particular read on people before.
