Sure, Slandaar could be scum. His back-and-forths with dicknose and Yates are scummy and are reminiscent of his scum play, but I haven't seen him as town, soo...

A reread of MattP reaffirmed my read on him. Much more confident in MattP scum than anyone else. As an aside, he's been posting elsewhere like a maniac these last few days (whereas he's just been dodging prods here) . Come on, Matt.

What I know of Slandaar's meta makes me feel he'd be pushing harder as town, but this is based off one game that was lost in the crash and what I remember of it. My recollection may be colored by our last game together where he was scum, so take this with a grain of salt.



Reading every town game BK201 had only solidified my read. I feel there're pretty big differences in his town and scum play.

Out of curiousity, which of the things I mentioned about Matt are towntells? Was it:
1) Fallacious reasoning to support useless predictions? (First half of #122)
2) Specious justification for a townread? (Second half of #122
3) Can't come up with impressive-sounding words to describe it, but the dicknose attack and subsequent posts is massively scummy. I understand dicknose not attacking him too strongly for it, but my face goes :/ when other people don't see him as scum for it.
The first two are misdirection. They're not useful things for town to do. The third is just...scum.

His posting before #152 and after it are different in kind. It's like he flipped a switch and said, "OK, this is the part of the game where I suspect someone." This is emphasized by the shitty quality of his points against you. His next half dozen posts just serve to mention your name again; they don't add anything to the game. I agree that the fake daycop thing stands out, but other than that the only thing of note he's said since #152 was a question to Slandaar about Agent_Ireland. He doesn't have anything else to contribute? Why does an attack on one of his nullreads catch his attention like that? (Especially since he thinks Slandaar is town--yes, you care who your townreads are voting, but mostly you just want them to vote your scumreads.)
It doesn't look like town play.

Part of the reason I see it as scum play is because I've seen something similar (kick the hornet's nest with an aggressive, overconfident "case", then sit back for a week) done by scum. It doesn't look like town play.

This might have all made sense from town if Yatestown thought I was scum, but he didn't and this was his read on me so he is just scum.

I've played open 387(both town) with Slandaar and Mini 1332(him-scum me-town) with him. I'd say this game is closer to his town game.

This game I have been trying new things like voting on a growing RVS wagon and throwing my vote around. I assure you I am town though, I mean its not like I would have some in-stone town meta with only 5 completed games. My scum meta is wrong too, I had no idea what to do that game.

P-Edit: I wouldn't place much faith in Slandaar being more aggressive as town. In his scum game that I played with him, he got in to a knock-down drag-out fight with town.
