I'm not going to be bullied into voting. I think Yates is town for now. I also don't like how Acosmist is lining up lynches, so he can go back tomorrow and quote himself followed by a vote for myself.

These quotes do not make any sense.

First we get "Yates is IDK". No further reads lists since that post - That is not a Town read.

Next we get the string of "Did he claim?" "He claimed King Kai, right?" "That's the only reason I'm not voting him" - this does not say he has a Town read on Yates at all. In fact it says "i'd vote him if he wasn't the Cop"

Next we get "I'm not going to vote him he's a Town read"

If we don't lynch Yates I want BK's head on a pike.

I’m going to tie this up in a nice little post to demonstrate how Yates’s post doesn’t make sense from a Town perspective.

He’s provided two interlinked premisese –

A. That the major characters (Goku in his example) from a series MUST be power-roles.
B. That all characters fit based on “flavor”

From this he drew the following conclusion – that Slandaar was either lying and was either a Town PR or Scum with a Goku fake-claim.

This much is true.

Premise 1

- The major characters from a Series MUST be power-roles.

False. I believe *THE* major character MUST be a power role.

Premise 2

– Roles must match their characters via flavor.

This also bad as ‘flavor matching’ as he’s relied on is completely subjective. Take for example Red Robin from DC Mafia. He argues being a VT makes sense while ignoring the rather salient point that three other characters in the DC Universe who were also Robin to Batman were all power-roles. He doesn’t want to argue whether they make sense or not as it undermines his case – if Nightwing and Damien Wayne Robin make sense as Cops then Red Robin doesn’t make sense as VT logically. Furthermore he avoids completely that Stephanie Brown (who was briefly Robin and also Spoiler) was a Doctor which doesn’t make a bit of flavor sense.

This isn't an outright falsehood but is fallacious in it's twisting of logic. IN THAT GAME, with that character list [which was weird to begin with] it absolutely made sense that Red Robin was a VT. Yes, Nightwing was also Robin at one point. As of that game, he was already a superhero in his own right, not Batman's sidekick. Granted, I gave you Damien and Stephanie because I don't know them.

Now let’s talk Ghostbusters 2 – Which further cements that assigning characters from flavor to roles can be done in any way the Mod wishes and clearly doesn’t have to ‘make sense’/

What is the normal reaction to this from Town? Continuing to vote and push for lynch the person in question as someone claiming VT has no reason to not be lynched if they are scummy.

That might be what YOU would do but it's not what *I* would do. The fact that he claimed Goku and has not been countered is reason enough to unvote regardless of how scummy I think he has been. It is absolutely possible for Town to act scummy and I'm not down with accidentally lynching a PR because he lied about that part of his reveal.

Yates’s reaction is not this. It is “OMGZ GOKU CAN’T BE VT YOU ARE EITHER LYING TOWN OR LYING SCUM” with an accompanying unvote. Which makes no sense.

As you can see above, you are wrong and it makes absolute sense. You are, however, misrepping how this went down. But that's a minor point and I don't care enough.

All Yates’s reaction served was to allow him an excuse to get off the wagon which eventually leads to claimed PR Acosmist being wagonned to claim.

Yeah. I clearly took the easy path. I don't know why Acosmist claimed so early or why he was acting like scum but I was obviously not the only one that saw how scummy he was being. So unless your argument is that I'm scum and my whole scum team jumped on the Acosmist wagon, this is bullshit.

No. I'm saying Goku *could be* a fakeclaim because Slandaar has been scummy and I'm not buying that he would be a VT. I asked the question WAY back when to determine if Goku was the main character for Saiyan Saga and was told he *IS* the main character [which matches up with the brief bio I read on wiki]. I'll put it to you this way, I unvoted Slandaar based on the strength of his name claim and subsequent lack of a counter. Nothing else about him makes him Town so I continue to be leery.

Do you know DC Comics well? Because Red Robin is not some small secondary character. He’s the second most significant Robin in Batman’s history (to Nightwing who was the first Robin) and is a significant character in his own right. Much more so than either Damien Wayne or Stephanie Brown.
