Coming to an Open Queue Near You...

GREAT IDEA MAFIA

Based off the infamous game of the same name played at Scummer of Love, this game will feature a list of 52 possible roles of varying alignments. Everything from VT to Mafia Godfather to Bulletproof SK is up for grabs, and every role actually present in the game will be determined by the Random Number Generator!

Balance is not guaranteed.

This is a semi-open, 15 player setup. All 52 possible roles will be public knowledge. The roles that are actually drawn will not be.

All roles should be normal, though it is advised that you read the role list when you enter the game. There may be some surprises.

You also need to have been a member for at least 3 months and completed one game to mod a game, where your choices are Mini Normals or Opens. After you successfully complete modding one, you can sign up for the Mini Theme queue where this game would belong.

I've been playing Forum Mafia for a LONG ASS time... I have hosted up to 50 person games(FMVI)... I am very well versed in hosting and playing... do I really have to wait 3 months to host anything... I will make kick ass games for you with precise order of operations and finely tuned roles... I have about 50 roles in my backpack and a ton of themes I can think of... the only reason left my last site is because there are too many people hosting... and a lot of them don't know what they are doing... I could be a key game maker here... I hope you will reconsider

Also, even if you did want to mod a game here (get our terminology right at least), you might consider at least putting together a different game than the one you are currently trying to run on a different site:

Hitting signups in the mini theme queue in August (as of this writing, there are 8 mods ahead of me in the queue):

Setup Reviewers:

Player Slots:

Pre-/in’s Currently Available:
5 (AGar was the first pre-/in), please PM me if interested. If/when all pre-/in’s are taken, you may request that I notify you via PM when the game hits signups.

Requirements:

-This is a setup with some potential for swinginess, as well as one or two slightly complex special mechanics (see below), so I am requiring at least two completed on-site games without being replaced or modkilled. Newbie and Marathon games do not count towards this requirement.
-Don’t have a track record of bad behavior (see below: “Wisdom of the Mod”).
-Any hydras must publicly disclose the identity of each “head” when signing up.
-Flavor knowledge is not essential for optimal play.

The setup:
This is a closed setup with a 14-day days and 48-hour nights. It is based on fictitiously portrayed clergy characters in popular television and film. It is also a non-bastard setup, meaning you have my guarantee of the following:
-The moderator (me) will never lie to you.
-No mechanics that alter win conditions. Your starting win con is your ending win con.
-No jesters, lynchers, or survivors.
-Both major and minor clergy characters will be present.

Special mechanic:
Possession. Certain power roles are enabled because that player is “possessed,” though possession is not necessarily indicative of alignment. There are roles in the setup that interact with possession in various ways.

Wisdom of the Mod:
I reserve the right to deny entry to a player if they have a track record of flaking, behaving like an ass, or otherwise being a detrimental presence to the games they are in. Especially if you have done this any of my previous games, you’re not getting in.

About me:
I have modded four non-newbie games to completion (Open 304: Hard Boiled, Mini 1249: Community Paintball Assassin Mafia, Mini 1320: Redwall Spirit Lore Mafia, and New York 142: Rolling in the Deep Mafia). My moderation, though not completely error-free throughout my career, does receive generally positive reviews, and my most recent setup (Redwall) was nominated for the Best New Mechanic scummy award.
On hiatus from any new mafia commitments.
Jesus loves you. But that doesn't mean you're town.

WWE is trying to climb back up the ratings and once again bring back the 'Attitude' into the WWE. However there is a new faction trying to sabotage the company from ever reaching the heights of the 90's once again.

But who is it?

Dr. Carolyn Fern edged her way down the alleyway, silently skirting the debris.

Even from this far away, she could hear their yelling, their hoarse invectives launched at eachother. She peeked around the corner, observing from the hopefully-safe distance. Despite the noise, some of them looked calm and rational, the kind you might not look twice at down at the University...but others were frothing at the mouth, capering this way and that before throwing themselves into the melee once more with unchecked, frenetic energy.

No, there was no doubt about it; this was the group.

She got out her notebook, trying to get it prepared without taking her eyes off of the group, not wanting to miss a moment of their interplay, the back and forth.

"What does it mean?" she asked herself as she scribbled into the notebook. No sooner had she looked back up than it became obvious that a surge of energy had overtaken the group, and that their whirling pandemonium now had some sort of darker, more sinister purpose, a definite sense of dire purpose. Indeed, a rhythmic chant could now be made out, growing louder and louder, and as Dr. Fern watched, stunned, one of the group was singled out, culled, and then set upon by the rest of the group, who soon had him helpless. He screamed like a man possessed, flailing with primordial purpose, less a man than an animal, but it was all for naught.

They took him before the altar, before which so many had given their lives; tens, no...hundreds, no...thousands, no...the number sacrificed before this altar was uncountable, stretching back beyond the aeons, and all the while the group was chanting, a livid sound that kept growing in strength until Dr. Fern had to clasp her hands over her ears lest the savage strength of the chant burst her eardrums, but still, she could make out the chant in perfect, shining detail, listening to it over and over as the poor man was killed in front of her eyes: "Lynch!...lynch!...lynch!...LYNCH!"
