Dont know, I doubt there would be a need for traditional power roles since as hippos point out there is no factional NK, so scum might have powers that affect the judge or the jury or something. I think having the judge claim day 1 before we see one cycle of the system at least is too hasty.

Now then, regarding the Judge claim:

The Pros are relatively obvious. We would get a confirmed townie who could not be killed without allowing us another confirmed townie. Basically giving us someone who we can completely trust. It also means that we don't get the scenario where scum just claim the Judge right before deadline and make us all switch our votes to save themselves. This isn't much of a problem at the moment because the real Judge claims on the next day and we lynch the scum but it becomes a problem in LyLo or MyLo. However, the Judge definitely needs to reveal as the game goes on.

There is a Con though. If the scum know who the Judge is then they can influence him by using WIFOM. They can basically make the Judge their puppet by continually sending people who will do nothing but confuse the Judge. Not revealing would mean that the Judge would not be presented with WIFOM for a few days at least making his decisions easier and likely more accurate. Revealing leaves the Judge open to manipulation.

Overall, I would say that the Judge should not reveal today. Wait until Day 3 or Day 4. This is so that the Judge can have a couple of nights in which he can make decisions with less manipulation from the Mafia since they don't know who the Judge is and they don't know what his opinions are. This probably makes the Judge a little bit more accurate during the early stages of the game.

Oh, I get it, So that if the judge is biased against a particular defendant, if that defendant is scum, then mafia will not send them to the judge, otherwise, they will. That is a valid point.
