In the light of something I missed earlier, which I won't bring it up, mass claiming doesn't seem to be as horrible an idea as I previously thought. Still, if we have to mass claim, I would support waiting until Day 2 as well.

If we wait till Day 2 then we give scum Night 1 to PLAN what to claim.

However, if we do it today we probably catch them off-guard!

Massclaim is fine but there is a result that can really make it a dagger tomorrow with a little bit of luck tonight.

I think forcing scum to claim before they can talk about it trumps all. Really that is scum's 2nd greatest advantage next to knowing each others' alignments.

I can roll with it. We are not going to get what Near wants though, even if we were down to something like five I would be skeptical about being able to pull that off. I think Bit starts and we just popcorn from there out.

My only arguement was if we have VT killed N1 we are at major advantage, again that other c9++ game I was talking about no town PRs died early and scum got reemed (or should have... still not bitter). Think enough are probably not VT though to justify that mvoe

Its questionale, but not that dumb. It actually does produce the advantage of scum have no night results to go off of to try and figure out if there are a couple T1 roles or an SK. Lack of knowing that will hurt them a bit.

Claiming today as opposed to yesterday basically comes down to the gamble of who would die tonight.

While I agree with you that we should wait until later to claim, technically we will still have smaller player pool to choose scums from and flips also help scums to come up with safer claims. Chance of fuck ups, assuming reasonably intelligent scums, doesn't really all that much I think. If they are intelligent enough to read and understand what we are talking about, they are probably intelligent enough to come up with a safe claim or at least claim VT in fear.

Either way, I am willing to follow the majority. Let RBD guide us.

EDBWOP: My vote would be tomorrow as well, so at least something flips and possibly allow investigations as well.

K dashie. Think of the worst case scenario for us if we did it right now. Now, think how that changes on day 2. If we're thinking about the same thing, the worst scenario is better for us if it happened on day2.

Same for best case scenario with likelihood attached.

Rainbow has the point about scum possibly killing a VT, but what if Vig/SK kills? What if Vig and SK kill? What if they NK a PR? Most importantly they get to huddle up and talk about it.

I thought a key element in catching people up in their lies was catching them off-guard. Giving them the night to talk about it sucks.

I think today provides us a bigger advantage. As BK says, the longer they have to think and talk about it the better they'll be prepared to react. My gut says a massclaim today will trip up the scum.

Rainbow, just so no one can misunderstand, what specific roles, if they exist, should claim in each tier? Or should we simply ask each person to claim one at a time, as opposed to tiered? Let's start with Rach and Bitmap claiming first if we don't go in tiers; they seem to be the biggest wagons today. Either way, I don't really know the best way to do it, but a massclaim today strikes me as the best option.

Massclaim starts in tiers first, then we popcorn claim roles by tiers depending on who we think is scummiest.

Its hard to debate much with today though since its really all about playing the odds. If we think we are going to lose a PR, we claim today. If not we claim tomorrow.

Either way we do massclaim in tiers like I said earlier. No reason to give scum more info then they need.

Near and Bit are the only two with multiple votes. Near seems to be acting like he always does and Bit looks like a stumbling newbie. neither one of them are particularly strong wagons, which is why I'm getting frustrated that no one is actually talking about anything but a massclaim.
