I've come to the realization that people at 1100-1400 elo are absurdly passive. You're sona, against a soraka, q + passive harass things down, don't just eat silences all day. You're soraka, against a sona, ward the brush and silence her, don't just eat q passive harass all day. I've been on both sides of this and won both simply from the other guy just going "oh noes I'm being hit whatever shall I do? Run away! Don't try to harass back at all!" I've even harassed out a blitzcrank as soraka simply because they were too afraid to try any sort of initiation or trading. I've gone top against a shen as jarvan and he just let me poke him down without attempting any trades with me. I went jungle shaco against a jungle eve and the eve didn't gank the entire game while I was all over the lanes.

even if it's a case where you can't fully apply yourself. Trade rather than just soaking up damage, don't let yourself get stepped on just because you don't want a full fight.

Edit: I know this kinda seems obvious (especially when so many of you guys are better than I am), but the large quantity of people I see that don't ever apply this makes me feel it's important to say.

Well, even in ranked there are games like that. Basically 80% of my ranked games have been over by 20. Meanwhile in normals... games are still p. much the same.

I think the only games that aren't like that are the ms inhouses that I haven't done in a million years.

What lane/where? I like building Kayle as a hybrid but people will disagree. I also like her more in Dominion.

Kayle is an AD carry that can go top, unsupported, because her kit and base numbers are absurd (like release Vayne, who dominated top).

items that build from Gp10s (Shurelyas, Locket, DFG)

I personally never build Locket or DFG. I build a Randuin's and sell the pick.

or Aura items (Aegis, Zeke's) assuming that you already have gp10 items

I don't really like Aegis much - it's very much an early/midgame item and by the time you've gotten 3 gp10s and boots you're almost guaranteed to have crossed this mark. If things were somehow going ridiculously well and I could afford one in time, I might get one, but I'd probably sell it later. BTW I've seen a lot of supports who only build 2 gp10s. Based on gold totals on the endgame screen you need 3gp10s in order to keep up in gold with the rest of the team.

I like Zeke's quite a bit but I'll only build one if I have two AD teammates who would benefit from it (AD carry + say a jungle nocturne or something) OR if my AD carry is behind and could really use the aura effects. Same goes for will of the ancients, if we have two AP casters (say a kennen top maybe) and one of them isn't building a wota, I'll build one for them. If neither of these is true (bruisers in top and jungle) then I'll get whatever looks fun. Maybe an Abyssal or a hat or I dunno.

I build a Shurelya's every game, but I'm not as in love with it as JD is I guess? so I tend to get it after Randuins. I might flip that though if laning phase got over really quickly and the team would benefit more from the active.

Also I always keep one slot open for wards. If that means that you have to tromp out of base with a bunch of money still in your pocket so be it.

What's the best way to build Kayle? She's a lot of fun.

Top lane: Bootspots, Greaves and a Scepter, maybe some Dorans depending on how you're doing. Rush IEdge and Zeal, upgrade Vamp into Executioner's or BT depending on how fed you are. Zeal goes into PD at some point, and grab a LW. Sixth item is whatever. So basically, AD Carry.

Jungle: You -can- grab a Wriggles, but your clear time is already pretty good. If you grab one, you can also put more points into your Q. Still want an IEdge and etc. but you can also grab stuff like a Stark's Fervor if you want to be more of a support-y jungler.

Support: Support stuff I guess. Shureylia's/Locket/Starks/wards.

AD Carry: See toplane Kayle.

AP Mid: I never get to try this, but I'm pretty sure building her AD and taking an AP top works. Just don't build her hybrid.

p.s. - max Q if winning the lane or you get to to harass with nuke often. I like maxing E for more DoT and easier farm. Always max E if you're losing lane or against a stronger lane (Lee, Olaf, Malph, etc.).

I am getting better at AD Sona.

Focusing on getting a lot of Crit Damage to go along with Sheen and her passive. Works well I find.

I just need to learn how to not be stupid and die a lot and I'll be fine.
