I'm gonna re-read Quilford's ISO but based on his most recent response, I'd be happy to put my votes on him.

You could always try to change my mind by becoming remotely helpful in any way whatsoever, I suppose - I could be swayed by that.
A nice first step might be going and reading enough of the game to at least fake opinions on the main wagons. That would titillate me.

After spending a whopping 36 seconds reading Quill's ISO, I feel educated enough to field this one.

Being functionally useless = being anti-town/pro-scum. I'm happy with putting Quilford on the chopping block.

Long
Short story
short
shorter, Quilford's posts appear to have remained in the RVS stage, 2 lynchings and 2 weeks later. His fight against Sir Bastion gives us a comparative read I think, his backpedal of his Arugula vote is suspicious even though I think Arugula is scum, his weird High Five to Ser Panda and Doomyoshi is even stranger (neighbor soft claim?) and his crusade against Thor is senseless.

PS
When I say neighbor soft claim it is because no matter how bad of a player a person is I can not make myself believe that they would straight up rat out their scum mates day 1.

It was, depending on your belief in his alignment;

1. Proving he was derp by celebrating a bad lynch and wagon.
2. Pretending to buy into the derp celebration of a bad wagon so as to appear town by actually celebrating something only scum should celebrate.

I have low opinions of some people's play in this thread - but I'm pretty sure the town ones know not to randomly claim a neighborhood, and I'm pretty sure the scum ones know not to randomly claim their scum team (and suspect it wasn't 3-4 scum getting me lynched, also).

I had two options in how to respond, my initial reaction was;

"Reading is generally considered pro-town."

My other was.

"Yup."

I begin to see why people call me sarcastic.

Dude come on. Yes, I could have gone back and read the VC, but you were right here and I thought you'd just give me the later response and I'd be all,

"Oh cool, I see now, thanks"

Look, Thor, I knew you'd point that out. But the fact remains that you never once explicitly stated I was scum for my actions in that post. Anti-town (or 'pro-scum' as you so masterfully put it in order to defend yourself from my exact accusation) does not mean scummy. I'm fine with being labeled anti-town. But you didn't pull up one single post I made and point out how it makes me scum. You just blathered on about me being useless. You're just dressing up a lurker lynch.

@Everyone - I think Quil is scummy and therefore not worth defending from a lynch today.

@Quil - Does this please you?
Also, you still haven't actually read the thread yet - just noting.

May I ask why the possibility of both TheShadow and Axelrod being town is being entertained? That Axelrod accepts the possibility that TheShadow could be town, but apparently not by enough to relent on him, seems off to me and I'm having a hard time believing that there are two different roles that are able to detect an executioner.

If we lack Executioner tech we need to lynch two scum everyday to even have a chance of lynching scum.

I accept that there is likely a role that detects executioners, and one very important to the town at that. My argument is that I don't think there are two such roles.

It should depend on how similar or how different they are. We do not know how Axelrod's power works. For all we know they might be complementary.

anything interesting going on?
Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

If you believe it is a 50/50 split between them and also that the power is fairly important to town - then I still don't see the value in trying to make a judgement call on that one on Day 1.
