@IAI: I already explained the scum motivation behind claiming Vig, but will again:
1 (NEW). Scum claiming vig have no risk of being shot because of it
2. Scum claiming Vig can make NKs with risk of being tracked or watched as long as they can justify it as a vig shot.

Inte's claim was ill-conceived no doubt and if he would have just went back on it right away I would have had no issue, but he rode with it long enough to imply that it was a serious claim. He only backed out because people jumped on his Kamakazi attack on GG suggestion. If no one had supported that idea like he was probably hoping for, then I doubt he would have backed out.

1. I have never seen a game this large with only 1 NKing faction. Either multiple scum teams, or an SK (or both). Either/both of which would see a town vig as a threat to get rid of. So I don't agree.

2. This makes no sense when combined with #1. So you think there is only 1 scum team, hence 1 NK. And at night then, the scum is going to pretend to be a town vig and make the only night kill??? Wouldn't the absence of a "scum kill" be kind of obvious???

2. Also, if the scum claiming vig is going to justify his kill as a vig shot, he needs to target non-townie type players to make it believable. Not a good strategy for scum to box themselves into on Page 1 imo, as the townie players who will never be lynched, will also never be nk'd.

This is a contrast to Pidgey's OBV fishing (also, in my opinion, sufficiently explained by Pidgey) which is a much faster death sentence to scum than claiming vig.

If it is such a much faster death sentence, why did the Pidgey wagon never go beyond 4 or 5 votes?

And why would it be a much faster death sentence to scum than town? I would think the other way around as scum would protect their scumbuddy by not voting him for that...(which goes along with the prior question of why the wagon stalled)

3 (2 part 2). It is actually my experience that scum will often shot lite posters early in the game for a number of reasons. A) The more pro-town vocal players tend to have some sort of night action surrounding them, be it doc, watcher, whatever, making it a risky target, B) The less pro-town vocal players tend to be easier to mislynch and C) Less information (pro-scum) is received from killing lite posters as opposed to killing a very vocal player that may have had strong and/or correct reads on other players. So with that being said a Vig-Shot and a Scum-Shot this early in the game would look very similar.

I wanna chime in on the IS thing. By the time he posted we were (I felt) out of RVS. IS' post did not read "I don't like or participate in RVS." it read more along the lines of "I''m going to wait to be more active when its clear who might be getting wagoned." Or at least that's how I interpreted it. Never played with IS scum but IS town is a loudmouth so I'm rather null leaning scum.

I played an Open with Elmo and he acted very lurky as well, I can't remember what role he was nor can I check cause it got lost in the board crash Elmo, can you remember what role you were in that Open? There was a nautical theme going on and Izakgoomba(is that his name) ran it. I recall Chimera was a SK that got shot D1 if that helps to jog your memory.

Busy couple of days, and it's stupid o'clock in the morning, so merely skimming, but this needed commenting on.

First point - Are you suggesting the post had scum motivation, or are you merely saying "scum do this, thus it's scummy", while ignoring the fact that town do it as well, (as I do so fairly often in fact)?

Second point - For a start, that wasn't my major reason for lynching a possible vig, my main point was (and still is actually) "inte is scummy as fuck". I was merely pointing out for people who, for some god forsaken reason that no bugger knows, seem to believe inte isn't scum, that on the minor off chance he is town, and was a vig (which we've found out he wasn't anyway... which means he lied to... fucked if I know... why would town do it when it could draw out a real vig and dick over town? Scum at least have a chance of drawing out a possible counterclaim to the vig role and removing them early if they're worried about it, so there's some scum motivation, but a total of zero town motivation), we'd STILL have worked out better anyway.

But yeah, main motivation for me pushing the lynch is because I felt he was scum, and not town. But if you "really" want to join in the ignorance of the majority of what I've said to focus on the small stuff, be my guest.

First of all in what sense are you trying to understand Inte's fake vig gambit? Alright I just reread that sequence and I still see it as him joking around. People were talking about whether or not they believed the PGO claim and then inte (from what I see in his tone as being an obvious joke) said that he would vig him and if he (inte) died that would prove the PGO claim. This course of action makes exactly 0 sense and I dont see how anyone can take this as a serious vig claim. He then went on to shit around more and joked again, this time about what wrester he got. I honestly dont see how this can be seen as anything other than a joke and I dont see any scum motivation in it either (yeah he could out the real vig and etc., but any vig with half a brain would just shoot inte if they thought he was scum fakeclaiming).
