And a general question that was kind of touched on, but would like to ask anyway. I'm very active online during the week(Monday - Friday) but will hardly be on during the weekends. Would this cause problems in most games? Or would the wait from Friday to Monday between posts be too long?

Weekend V/LAs (i.e. periods of no access to the computer) aren't exactly unheard of; several experienced players here have that pattern. Just make sure you declare them in advance, and make sure that the mod isn't using an unusually short prod range (which they shouldn't be doing in Newbie games).
