The useless post would be consistent with his earlier play and might make people think that if he's doing it so close to a lynch, he might be town after all. Then after reconsidering the situation he would give in a little bit and come out of his way to post something a bit more useful. Maybe my mindset is wrong but I really can't see an actual town doing thisunless he really didn't care about playing anymore.
This.
@Hiraki So you think Techno is scum? You quoted a post that happened right after RVS.
On Techno, Since CES posted his orignal case what has he done that looks scummy. I've been paying more attention to the stupider side of the game.- andrew94

↑ TeChNoWC wrote:So basically your argument boils down to:
Seiklops' actions were (supposedly) obvi-reaction fishing and I jumped him and 'made out like it wasn't'.
So, if seiklop's actions were obvi reaction fishing, why did multiple other players voice the same opinion following what I said (Sisterman, andrew, greynarl; to list a few).
Tell me, CES; how smart do you think these three players are? How experienced? How smart and experienced do you think I am?
I could answer this question but what it boils down to is that based on your previous posts and your experience I'd expect you to be able to see it (and the details of your posting suggest you did at least look whereas I'm not so sure others might not have reacted more instinctively) but I wouldn't expect it from those three. It's not like it was crazy obvious; it's really only obvious once seilkops points it out.
Ultimately, either way, the answer results in a false dichotomy and a dumb-scum-town player would both react the same in that situation as a smart-scum-town player.
These are both completely unsupported statements. I don't even know what the 2 sides of the dichotomy are supposed to be and a smart-scum-town player would definitely be more on the ball in general (unless he decided he'd rather not be...).Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

Read on Hiraki:
Detecting large amounts of sarcasm and barbed comments. Looking at reads, I see he is at least staying focused on his points even as he says everyone is misquoting him (which I could interpret it the way others have, but I don't because his vote remains on seil) Seems town, but I'm thinking null on him.
As for Cheery, we need to keep on Funky. Wait until he talks Monday, then we hammer if it doesn't help us enough. This is not the time to let up on a suspect just because someone else is getting under your skin. I, unfortunately, have seen that those who are the most aggravating to read are usually town. But I don't see why anyone should hop off just to get this guy now. This exchange looks like one of you (if not both) are trying to distract us from the main wagon.- seilkops

No. I brought up the VI thing after GG said he wouldn't mind too much when I flipped town, and I just thought that was kind of a dumb thing to say because of the Semi-Nightless set up of this game. At that time, I think only GG really said that their was a possibility I was a flailing towny, so it's not like I was blatantly defending myself from people calling me VI.
That's what he wrote
and you constitute him for a town read because of one read he has which isn't even certain
yours isn't certain either but it's still something
and disturbing
I guess I should be glad you at least responded to me. You just answered your own argument though. I also thought Sis's post was likely town, and Techno posted little enough before this, that for the time I thought Tech was town.
Tech had never covered himself like GG did, so why should I have considered him the same as GG?- Cheery Dog

For clarification:
I said I wouldn't mind if seil flipped scum. This was back when he was acting stupid IMO.
He said you shouldn't lynch the VI until D3 at the earliest because of the semi-nightless setup.
Nobody called seil a VI. He inferred correctly that I thought he was acting like a VI.
That is in the past. IMO, it has no relevance since my read on seil has completely changed.

With a flip, we can proceed to finding the second scum if Seil flips scum. I don't see a problem with only reading one scum right now because there's only room on the noose for one hangman. Hiraki appears consistent with his approach, which to me, says "Yes, others will do scummy things, but the onus is on Seil to prove he is town. Until he proves otherwise, this is where I stand." I don't agree that Seil should be the main lynch right now, but I'm wary of Seil's defensiveness.
Funky's statement looks ready to passively incite something against Hiraki since he doesn't go on to explain why only having one scum read is a bad thing. If we start putting together two people as a popular scumread and lynch a townie, our read on the other player tends to fall apart. If we lynch scum first, we tend to mislynch D2 unless something blatantly scummy comes up or is brought back up in light of the flip. Since we can't rely on scum carrying around a big neon sign pointing to their partner, compartmentalizing reads like this D1 doesn't sound like a bad idea to me. As such, I'm not particularly worried about who could be in cahoots with Funky because I don't care about them. Right now, I care about Funky getting a rope necklace.- greygnarl

Because I agree with what he's doing, just not who his target is. I prefer to build up my case on one player while I still believe (s)he is scum.- Cheery Dog

You're just repeating the post above you now, why did I take my vote off you again? oh right because hiraki distracted me, yeah I probably should have just used a FOS instead of moving my vote, too late now.

The problem with that is that it makes Hirakicompletelyuseless today. He's posting empty posts, tunneling an empty target and with that basically gets a free pass from you today. Furthermore, I don't think it's really even possible to not haveanyother suspicions or theories at the moment. The fact that he's putting so much effort in cursing and mocking people instead of sharing those theories does not speak well for him. - Mr.K
