Matt's reads are internally inconsistent with his behavior; i.e. he can't believe what he's saying while doing the things he's doing. Self-voting was obviously a poorly conceived way to "shake up" the day and try to commit a town tell or draw attention away from something. We'll figure out what the something is later.
