I'm starting to get the teemo hate.

The problem there was that Teemo gets eaten by Ryze.

Teemo is a counterpick; he counters a lot of champions so he's often a safe counterpick, but he's still a counterpick and whether or not he does well depends

entirely

on what he's up against and Ryze is pretty much the perfect example of the

worst

possible champion to pit Teemo against.

I had to lane against a Rengar having heard he was OP but never facing one before.

I got trolled. Very, very, very hard.

Teemo can counter Rengar pretty hard but you need to be very careful about positioning (stay at least 650 range away from bushes and don't stand in the creep wave as he leap to a creep then run at you) and

never

use blinding shot to harass. Get an early phage and level 2 boots (probably ninja) and just continually wittle him down and use your shrooms to muck up the river so he can't roam mid as easily, don't try to use them to retake the bush from him (nobody takes the bush from a rengar).

The trick to beating Rengar is to shut down his free leap. Teemo is one of the few champs who can do that thanks to shrooms but until you hit 6 and have all the bushes full of shrooms Rengar is going to be a serious threat.

Basically don't listen to Neruz, you will not drive him out of the bush and you will get mauled if you try.

Stay the fuck away from bushes and just auto him whenever he goes up to CS. You win the lane by attrition, you're not trying to really kill him so much as just drive him back from lane to deny him XP/Gold, take exhaust and be careful about ganks because rengar is a great hero to gank for due to his burst, his slow and how hard he can snowball. Also due to the positioning required to avoid the bush leap you're naturally going to be closer to the river thus an easier gank.

I saw a 1100 elo AP Teemo player stomp a 2500 elo guy playing the new spider queen (built hybrid) on the new twisted tree line last night. It was a little disconcerting. But I guess the guy was experimenting with builds and not try-harding or anything.

It's just your shrooms. His blinding dart doesn't stop his q, he just hits you with q as soon as the blind wears off.

In the time your blinding shot takes to wear off you run the hell away from him, dropping a shroom at your feet as you go. He's forced to either blow the ferocity charges on the snare to keep you in melee range or to take multiple ranks in the slow which really cuts into his tank or his burst.

fyi Ninja Tabi effect physical auto-attack modifers of which Rengars Q is one, they are also the cheapest lvl 2 boots (being able to kite is how teemo wins the lane) and provide a ton of ar.

Get them for Toplane teemo, no you don't need 'zerker greaves as you don't actually use AS much in lane and AS is an incredibly cheap stat.

And, surprise surprise, two 3v3 games ago, GreyIce played Cho, with a Jax on his team and got beaten by a teemo.

Love it.

The Jax was on the enemy team. The Teemo was on my team. The game dragged on for 60 minutes then ended due to Teemo not bringing anything to any fight (literally, they were all over in 3 seconds, and Teemo would just die at the end). We managed to nearly win anyway due to their Ka'zix loving to roam more than anything holy, so he got into tons of 1v2s and 1v3s 40+ minutes into the game (this is bad) and their jax was convinced he could take our entire team out (protip: He can't). But Teemo was basically useless. Even the player playing him said Teemo was worthless (he claimed Teemo is fine on Summoner's Rift, which is a thing, I suppose).

Nice misreading my history. Fail.

Yeah, something to remember is that when ad carries get beserker's greaves, it's not because AS is a super great stat they want a bunch of, it's just that slots are on an absolute premium for ad carries and it lets you not devote a slot to aspd except for the possible PD.

I'm pretty sure if you had 8 item slots, no one would ever get greaves.
