I'll give a more detailed breakdown and an explaination of what happened D1 later, when I'm not on a phone.

I just wanted to push CD enough that he hammered, and i ended up doing it effectively

I didn't really have any good reason for buldermar being scum, just somewhere (and reading 1298) made me suspect him.

This game probably would have ended sooner had buldermar not taken the first lylo vote, I was going to vote xalxe after I had slept. (i was waiting until then because I figured since if probably be on if a quick hammer seemed to be happening im ay have been able to unvote.)

and the actual research into the no lynch I was doing should really have tipped me into believing what I wrote.
I'm not sure why o didn't go anything more with out after buldermar commented on it and I later confirmed him scum.

I had to go drink the wine of the first option I posted about housemate probable thought process., but my gut was telling me the xalxe buldermar team after reading that post of red rabbits.

I don't feel entirely good about my post 281, buldermar"], because it allowed me to tweak the attention in a way that could have never happened had it not been for the cheaters. I think this gave us as scum an unfair advantage in this game. I don't even feel like we rightfully deserve this win. Anyway, I'm glad the game at least wasn't entirely decided at that point.

The decision of not talking to Xalxe wasn't any deliberate plan and I'd like to think it would have happened regardless of my alignment.

Looking forward to reading Tierce's analysis of this game.

So, yeah, about Day 1. As some of you may have guessed, the issue was with Natural_river, fish-riding-a-bike-2000, and MrJamesWatson. Tierce (and Bulermar, I think?) expressed suspicion that two of those players may have been cheating, and Tierce asked one of the discussion forum moderators to check the IP addresses of those concerned. Shortly after this, that moderator contacted me to inform me that those players, and several others, were suspected to all be aliases used by the same person, and had already been denied access to a Mini Normal game on those grounds. This is why the three of them had to be replaced.

Since the event they and several others have been banned from the site, as you may have seen here.

These events also indirectly lead to me making the error/concession of allowing Buldermar to function as the mafia rolecop; I continued this practice in Night 2 for consistency.

Considering there was a period of day 1 during which three slots were aware of each other's actions and acting towards a common goal (though what goal, exactly, is unknown, given that one of them was mafia), this game should not be taken as an indication of what to expect from the site. If this was a first mafia game for any of you, I would thoroughly recommend trying another Newbie game, or perhaps a Mini Normal if you feel ready.

it may have been obvious but i don't want any clears, funny that no-one pressed me for this, the crumb was so obvious i was just trying to manipulate it so it didn't seem so obvious (clearly not well).

Cause our last game i tried to keep us from having a doc clear (whether he was rightfully cleared or not (for those that don't know the "clear" was town but happened due to me and my partner not submitting a kill by accident))

I think that mostly varies between mods, most mods don't let the goon choose the rolecops target, some do.

Also as a matter of learning, if someone tries to discredit a clear, she/he is either scum or extremely paranoid, if they aren't jumping on everyone's backs and trying to keep everyone posting and not taking there eye off people, then they are fairly likely scum.

Unless of course the clear happens to be the most likely scum in the game, that throws it off a bit but you get the gist.

It was only a bread crumbed clear (though it was pretty obvious that I picked up on the second one during the game day) though it was also my fault it came out.

I was paranoid myself that xalxe was taking my clear with using the same breadcrumb.

Still making more clears isn't something that scum is likely to do (he would have HAD to lynch Bul then lynch me, as scum you prefer to leave your targets open with as few clears as possible.), and the fact that you played guessing a xalxe/Bul team a day early (you could have waited for Leon to either lose the game or hammer scum) when you could have easily waited a day and put both me and Xalxe under more pressure in 3p LYLO.

Paranoia aside, it is always best to draw LYLO out as long as possible, Bul was confirmed scum (for you and Xalxe), and you could have given the scum more time to slip up, and i doubt i would have gone another day with out screwing something.

That was just a side thought. I don't think you actually did that much to convince me (As I was already suspecting that team), as I said it was looking at that past day and I don't know what.
I think I grew impatient and something made me decide you were town.

I don't understand why this game didn't just get restarted from the beginning.

It was my decision, with advice from the list mod, to attempt to continue the game with minimal disruption. I do not think that the game was corrupted beyond revival; as only one of the players concerned was scum, and they hadn't had an opportunity to post in the QT, there is no possibility of scum-sided gamethrowing, and I don't believe the town was influenced enough by those three slots to significantly affect the outcome of the game.
