katsuki, if anything it makes it harder that Spyspy's not here since we've only been in like one game together where we were the same alignment (Revolution Mafia)

I dunno.

You and Spyspy are those players that I can generally read within a post or two if you guys are in the same game.
TM:12 and Catch22 are wonderful examples (though the outcome of the latter was bad because I forgot my reads over time).

i don't even know what that means

i was in the process of typing out a reads list when i noticed there was a sudden outbreak of wrongness that could, if left untreated, have lead us to a town mislynch. once i have finished my reads list i will place a vote

don't play dumb with me, Quil, we both know you're not dumb.

you unvoted pretentious while they were in no immediate danger, which would have been fine if it weren't for the fact that it's not like you placed your vote somewhere else

i'm asking you if you voted pretentious just to be seen on the wagon, and then unvoted not because you wanted to place a vote elsewhere but because you no longer wanted to be on the wagon?

i've already answered that question. i unvoted because i did want to place a vote elsewhere, but was not sure yet where to put my vote. if anything, i unvoted without a revote just to show that i no longer supported the wagon.

in any case suggesting that i voted pretentious 'just to be seen on the wagon' is invalid, because i was the first vote on pretentious

people do that as scum, actually

and fair enough about being the first person on the wagon, but then again if your vote was truly RVS then why did you get cold feet once it picked up steam? again, they weren't in immediate danger and already the wagon had started fizzling

good point. town does it in equal numbers though

'once it picked up steam' 'already the wagon had started fizzling' please reconcile, i don't see how a wagon can have just picked up steam and simultaneously be fizzling

EBWOP: seriously? i didn't say it had "just picked up steam," i said it had picked up steam in the time since you had placed your vote, and indeed, attention had already started to shift elsewhere by the time you removed your vote

you placed first vote, the wagon "picked up steam" over the next ten pages or so, but by the time you unvoted on page 13, people were already starting to look elsewhere

my point remains that by the time you unvoted, your vote was harming no one. pretentious was not in danger. and typically, when a person removes their RVS vote, it's because they've decided to place a more meaningful vote. but you didn't do that--- you didn't unvote to free up your vote to place elsewhere. you just unvoted to get off the wagon.

Quilford wrote:like, you're saying i got 'cold feet'

i'm not putting words in your mouth, i'm interpreting your actions. kind of a prerequisite for scumhunting. it's disingenuous to paint it as anything but.

and it's perfectly reasonable to think you got "cold feet" on a fizzling wagon, perhaps you saw it as the perfect time to hop off unnoticed. maybe you're scum and he's town and you decided you wanted no part of the mislynch. maybe you're scum together and you saw your RVS vote mature into something bigger, so now you want to relieve the pressure. i haven't figured all that out yet, but i'll be damned if i'm not going to question you for it.

Quilford+3

The wagon was early game fluff/content-generating-RVS and in no way likely to lead to a lynch. So, you didn't need to balance those factors at all - the risk of lynching town simply didn't arise.

I responded to those posts that I thought actually had game relevance.
