I didn't propose the massclaim? That was chesskid. I thought it could be useful in a PR heavy game and was pretty fine with it. You seem to think it needs to be done with just townreads which is where I disagree. Locking scum in the qt into a claim would be super useful in a game like this. As well as that any weird shots on an outed pr in the neighboourhood looks bad for scum, so it offers them a greater degree of protection or makes thing scum think twice before making a nightkill just based on role. I mean I had town reads on Pretentious and Kawaii at the time but as you can see I didn't like SLB all too well and wyrd hadn't posted.

Also I think looking at Gay Mafia 1/Reck set-ups a massclaim could have helped clear a slew of people. Scum had no real actions they could have claimed (apart from roleblocker I think and that's just lol). Narrowing it down to a specific bunch means you get more likely chance of success and don't have the massclaim downsides of killing early day 1 momentum.


The whole stigma around massclaim being anti town is frustrating. It's something scum should fear. A PR's greatest utility is being able to claim and confirm themselves (for most of them)

I thought Glork showed why it's good (but bad) in ogml's large normal and furry had the right idea in kanye's game too. I think l. themes are even more susceptible but recognise trying to do it in thread never works (b/c people disagree on principle)

At the very least I'd go 'Well I don't have town reads on everyone' and hope it kind of stalled out as scum. I was a bit weirded out when kanye claimed but given their role being super weird I can see why they did (and I also don't think it's a plausible fakeclaim for them to come up with, so I suppose it shows the benefits of massclaim in a way)

I hope that if you can take the time out of your day to post about how terrible I am then you should be able to instead take the time out of your day to tell me what I'm doing wrong. I dunno, my gut still tells me Zoid is scum. But while his rage toward me almost felt genuine enough to be town, that post seems to harken back to my initial assessment that Zoidberg is kinda "me too'ing" his way through the game.

DGB, I've leaned town on, but you gotta remember how hard she is to read Day 1. And the last few times I've played with her, either she was scum (Weather Mafia II), scum with me (Gay Mafia 1), Town against scum-me, (Red Dead Redemption Mafia) or I replaced her as scum (Rolling in the Deep). And the one time she was scum and I was town, I thought she was town clear up until LYLO when she practically gave up and eventually contradicted herself by calling me scum just a few pages after calling me town.

So, my read on DGB is basically that if she's scum, she's not gonna fuck up until at least the second day. And for the record, I tend to see Fate the same way. Fate as scum is way easier to catch after the first day.
