I don't know. I think it would be an interesting concept, but right now I'm limiting my games to cool themes, opens to move the queue along, and a few other things.

Its the whole lynchpin arguement. When a game centers around a role too heavily, it becomes less fun because who gets that EXACT role tend to be the main factor in who wins. As scum, if you have an idiot partner who has that role and screws up horribly first couple pages, well there goes your game.

Nothing is wrong with a role or concept being a games center, but when it has that big of a ripple effect when it dies its offputting to some.

Assuming the only change with the set up is the one mentioned before then the set up allows the mafia to pick the secretary so unless the entire mafia team is idiots that shouldn't be a worry.

Unless its changed since I last saw it Secretary is randomly picked like any other role and they choose who dies with them if/when that happens.

Before the start of D1, the three mafia will get to select which one of them will be the Secretary. Mafia will have full daytalk throughout the game.

So yeah this current sign ups the mafia choose the secretary so no worry on the worst mafia player getting it unless the mafia want that to occur.
