Mykonian was mentioning something about the possibility of a No Lynch, and also mentioned something about the Doc/JK claiming. So I thought he was trying to get people to put the pieces together and figure out what he was trying to propose without him having to directly say it.

In short, I confused myself with too many WIFOMY possibilities because I thought I saw a glimmer of hope that didn't result in us needing a 100% sure scum flip today. Because at this point if the scumteam isn't Dyrnify + Anyone then I don't know what to do.

Ok,

so the reason we would No Lynch in a MyLo situation (which means that if we mislynch we lose) is that the Night Kill narrows down our pool of suspects. The situation you described is one in which the Night Kill is likely to off someone we already can confirm as town, which is why it doesn't work to justify a No Lynch.

What good would it do for the Doctor/Jailkeeper to claim? To give Mafia a clear ticket as to who they should kill tonight?

Best case scenario we have a Jailkeeper that can state who they intend to Target, so that way if a Kill goes through then we have at least one 100% confirmed townie after the Jailkeeper dies. Or if a kill doesn't go through it might be as good as a Cop Guilty result.

But when I was scum in that newbie game with Nacho I pulled a gambit where we had a claimed Jailkeeper and he announced each target he would protect and I chose to No Kill during the night phases in order to frame people into mislynches rather than pulling the trigger on the Jailkeeper until I was sure I could win in Lylo.

So even that wouldn't be ideal. I know it's farfetched but I literally won that game as scum due to that gambit. It could easily happen.

I can't see any good scenarios in which a Doctor should claim because then they just die tonight and we get no information based on who they protected because the Mafia would officially no longer have to sweat a Kill going through.

How about we collectively suggest who the Doc/Jailkeeper SHOULD target? I'm pretty sure it's universally agreed that Mykonian is town. That way if the Doc/JK follows those instructions (I'm assuming Mykonian is not it because he's the one calling for a claim rather than just claiming himself) then we can be sure that Mykonian stays alive and the scum still won't know who the Doc/JK is, so they have to make a shot in the dark that is not Mykonian to try and find the Doc/JK.

Of course, if Mykonian is scum I think we're just fucked in general because he's not getting lynched this game. Dyrnify, TheTrollie and myself will be dead before Mykonian is considered.

Good, then you can just assume I'm town. Saves me some trouble, and I just have to convince you of actions rather then actions

The JK claiming thing only works when there's one scum left.

Further, ideally you'd claim the day before lylo, but given that we are a tad too late for that, today will have to do. Confirmed townies in lylo and mylo pay. Not just because they make your odds better, but because you can listen to what they say and at least know they mean well. And yes that means they'll get shot. I'm just slightly confused what you would want to save them for. This is kind of where things have to happen.

I don't know what good my info will do, but if we're looking for a role claim, then here it is.

On night one, I protected Xegar. During night two, I protected Thetrollie, which was a stupid and rather hasty decision because I couldn't think of who to protect.

Of course, Dyr is first suspect but other than that I really need to look back and get some more town reads before I can point scum.

1.) Smash is scum. Not sure on anyone else, but he is scum for sure. Pays lip service to my wagon while setting up another lynch target. He will call you and I buddies right up until I flip town. Then he will yell about you lynching me as scum. Either way, he throws you down next.

2.) Already claimed. It has not changed.

This was the point where dyr's opinion on smash made a 180. He was flat out town or nothing before that.

Dyr was so not protown yesterday and I have a hard-on for that wagon cause he's fishing so hard today but the one thing holding me back is the hammer. Assume town Brad announcing intent to hammer, does scum Dyr throw it down first or would he just stay off the mislynch and let Brad finish it off? I don't know him at all but purely from this being a newbie game I don't see him having the foresight to try to gain towncred by being

Within 5 posts. Beyond the point that people never hammer so quickly, it does make sense if scum is full blown panic mode. If dyr is scum, smash makes a lot of sense.



Last thing, CF got killed. My guess is their hand was forced, they investigated him n1. Otherwise, that wagon was a trainwreck, they'd have loved to go for it.

I'm not sure about you, but we are certainly losing something really important.
You do realize that in this set-up it's important to hide who our PR's are, don't you?
You just unnecessarily reduced one possible slot to think over as possible PR for them, unless you're scum yourself claiming to be VT. This actually increased our chances of losing our PR in first night.

You should never claim unless you're on L-1. Some even argue against that.

ok this was the first post i started thinking Om was PR. ACTUALLY now that i think about it, in my notes, while catching up, i had him as "scummy" and then changed it tow town when i saw the crumbs. So this was nothing definite, but got me thinking that if Om was saying that "we outwitted them" it meant probably that he had to do with the decision. "we" didnt do shit...only the Doctor did. Ergo, maybe Om was doctor.

@Om- Everyone hated him that day for the whole page 1 RC and his vote on smash/vote reveal. I'm not quite sure how to word it...I just think that if the mafia kill was blocked there's a good chance a power rule either new or took a chance that Xeg was town. The mafia may also have seen his RC as "Vanilla Townie" as (not just a bad move like the rest of the town) but suspicious. They may have suspected him for a doctor or jailer or whatever trying to be safe as a normal and figure they have nothing to lose if he really was vanilla townie. A rather farfetched theory, but still...

did really no one see this/think it was something to talk about? I thought this was a Doc/Jailkeeper slip. Thats why I didnt say anything about it. its also why i asked him for his D1 read on Xeg. If it was a scum read, Om was Jailkeeper who was being dumb and not thinking about the fact that Xeg could have been the killer, if it was a town read, Om was Dr. who protected Xeg N1. He said Xeg was his top town read (a read that btw came out of nowhere on D1) so i figured Om was the Doctor. Now that i know he wasnt, this looks like a scumslip.

Wow I only pointed out the stupid thing you did, not breadcrumb, anyone who was reading the thread should've been able to do that. Quite frankly, you're the 3rd guy I'll be looking at if we fail at Dry and Smash slot by PoE I posted few pages back. Only reason I'm leaning town on you is because of your reaction to my fake vote. I didn't knew Xeg was targeted, but I assumed if I was scum I would be going for Nacho, but that wasn't the case so most likely guy would be the one who claimed if he wasn't scum himself, but I had my strongest town read on him so that left me with only possibility of him being targeted.
