NA as a whole is really not that great
EG!
If you can't beat them, buy them.
Is still a European team and to my knowledge is going to be based in Germany.
↑ MrZepher wrote:TSM has never been particularly good imo. (Even if they've won it's been massively unimpressive to me)
TSM has been through most of season 2 dominant against the NA scene; the issue is that the NA scene is as a whole significantly weaker than the EU and Asian scenes, so that means dick all in the long run. They are consistently the worst of the big 3 NA teams (TSM, CLG, Dig) vs the Asian teams (which were the strongest at the time of WCs although one could make a case that Europe is somewhat on par at this point), thus they're not relevant on the world scene at the moment.
Zepher wrote:CLG keeps screwing themselves with almost-too-soon roster changes
CLG actually got a huge huge huge boost when A) they got rid of Voyboy, who hasn't kept up with the changes the game has made, and B) Jiji stepped aside, as he was at that point a relic of an era gone past. CLG is probably the strongest NA team at the moment but I'm hesitant to say that with the influx of strongish new teams and the general lack of any good international events at the moment.
Zepher wrote:Curse will never have good enough mechanics to take the gold
Curse's problem is less mechanical and more the fact that Curse doesn't want a League of Legends pro team, they want a reality show.
Zepher wrote:Dignitas has like 2 legitimately good players and the rest lack the mechanics to keep up. Hopefully living with CLG will help fix this.
Dignitas' issues are multiple and easily traceable.
A) Dignitas when it sort of burst onto the scene (even back as Rock Solid) relied heavily on the fact that at the time, Scarra and Voyboy were the 2 best solo laners in NA. Losing Voyboy meant that a lot of the key to beating Dig became "camp Scarra", Scarra handles being camped really poorly and loses lanes hard off of it, Dignitas loses.
B) Getting Dominate on tilt was extremely easy and it was painful to watch as he threw game after game by getting all worked up and making shitloads of mistakes.
C) L0cust hadn't remained relevant (he was only ever impressive on Sona; the Sona nerfs took that away and he never fully recovered) and I'm not really impressed with Patoy.
D) Crumbzz isn't a top-tier laner. Crumbzz is a top-tier jungler.
Everything except A and C have been addressed; need to see how Kiwikid performs before a good judgment can be made.
Zepher wrote:NA as a whole is going to get screwed pretty hard this season.
NA only gets screwed as much as NA lets itself get screwed. EU adapted to the Asian invasion, NA chose to stay the course. NA needs to adapt now or die.

He sees everything and he knows the right thing to do, but he just can't seem to vocalize it properly or in time, so it seems like he doesn't get enough followup or that he's diving and throwing it away. His persona and ego certainly don't help his case, but if he could somehow work on calm vocalization of this thought process and objectives, he would be one of the best leaders in the game. Crs is not top-tier talent even for NA, but with the right approach/attitude and some happy meds for Saint, they could have a strong showing in S3.
Saint is a piss-poor leader. A good leader isn't someone who screeches at his team until they do what they want; a good leader is someone who is calm, level-headed, and gets people to listen through mutual respect, not through throwing tantrums. He may have
potential
to be a good leader, but he isn't solely because he doesn't quite grasp that respect part.
