Regarding this, now that Om has replaced out, was there anything specific you were hoping to see in Om's posts that would help to betray his alignment? Also, were you fully caught up at that point? It seems like you were, but it's hard to tell because you skipped straight from commenting on the first few pages to posting only on current events and never addressed pages 5-9 or so.

I just finished a newbie game with him and he scumslipped like 6 times.

6 scumslips in the newbie game or this game. If its 6 in this game I'd love you to point them out. If its 6 in the newbie game and none here then that's actually a decent case for him being town.

As opposed to asking Trollie for a list of everyone who he thinks is town? I don't think so. It's so much easier for scum to come up with a list of who he thinks is town than for a list of who he thinks is scum.

As we can see Elleran in quote 1 is being sarcastic, in quote 2 he is defending himself by suggesting there was actual reasoning behind his question.

I get what you're saying here, and I hadn't compared those two statements. But at the same time, he did vote for Trollie in the post containing the first quote, so it still seems plausible. More plausible to me than Trollie changing his tactic of how he approaches scumhunting. It just seems that if he was really someone who walls to scumhunt, he would have continued. Even if he ran out of time and that's why he stopped, he never mentioned that and he never went back to walling/analyzing each detail like he did before when he did get more time. The only way that makes sense to me is if his goal is not to scumhunt but to give the appearance of it.

I would prefer to lynch Trollie today. But if we can't get a consensus on him, I would consider Joel, Kthx, and Ztife. Probably Ztife first before the other two.

Ztife

hasn't gotten much scrutiny yet (he hasn't posted much), but what he does have is pretty bad.
1. He comes in having only skimmed, votes Om, complains about no votes though there were.
2. Posting after he's reviewed the game more, he keeps his vote on Om though the only thing he saysabout it was "My vote on OM earlier was based on quick skimming, and I admit its pretty bad."
3. In that same post he calls Joel a null-to-scum read but doesn't vote Joel (and he didn't provide any further comment on Om that would make sense that he would keep his vote there)
4. Ztife posts again after Om informs the mod that he's replacing out, but Ztife still doesn't move his vote from Om even though it's on a now inactive spot.

In short, Ztife has spent no time scumhunting and appears to be doing the bare minimum to skate by to last the day.

this looks like newb-town. its an attempt at scumhunting, just a stretch/awkward one. It's too risky for newb-scum to try this, he'd have parroted someone else's objection to a post, or at least someone else's read, or he'd find something more concrete to latch onto. At the very least i'd expect some self-doubt if this were from scum.

I don't know, man. I really thought my first vote was onto some deep mysteries of the universe and it pained me deeply to change it. If not for the wild hallucinations that told me to vote Jennifer instead, I probably would have ridden that Trollie vote to my grave.

Here are my questions so that you finally answer them (note: it's been over 50 posts since post 292. You've posted 3 times since then without even mentioning my questions directed at you)
1) Why do you think TheTrollie is town?
2) How is withholding information rather than defending someone you think is town a pro-town move? (which is exactly what you're doing by saying "i don't explain my town reads" when you were asked to explain yourself)
3) How are my attacks against TheTrollie flawed? Did I say something wrong regarding Trollie's posts?

Now, not only is he flat out refusing to answer my questions, but he's refusing to play as part of a player in this game. Clearly, he doesn't know how to play this game and is just here to troll players like Dannflor and myself.

I would only be willing to lynch over this when it is not D1. If their play continued past D1 then I would consider lynching. I think it's alright (while annoying and unhelpful to town), to have this playstyle D1, simply because there isn't much to go off of. However is this style of play were to continue to D2, D3, or even lylo, it would have to be dealt with. Simply because it would be impossible to play with someone like that.

For now, however, I'm willing to let it slide. It's a powerful playstyle that makes yourself nearly unreadable, and in a way almost invincible, but also hinders town. I could see it used by either alignment, but only on the first day.
