Right now I don't really have suspicions. I feel that basing huge decisions off the RVS stage isn't a great idea. Gut feelings are fibe, but two votes on the same person in the RVS doesn't mean much. Just my two cents.

BrightEyedFish wrote:I was just agreeing with MrZepher. I understand that you think it is "bad logic" but to answer your question, I do believe my vote was based more on a gut feeling than on the actual act of bandwagoning. Or maybe it was just the bandwagoning was conducted.

It's early and things will probably change... but at this time I stand by my vote.

Let me explain why it is bad

Player X votes player Z
Player Y votes player Z

You are calling Player Y scum based on an action that Player X has also done, not to mention wagoning means less vote splitting and more pressure on people, meaning tells are more likely to come out which is of course the whole reasoning for scumhunting.

So you think if someone does something really scummy in RVS no-one should look at it just cause it's RVS?

How is a gut feeling a legit reason over reasoning based on RVS?

You guys all realize that what you's are stating just isn't logical right?

Cybertronix are you town? I find it highly unlikely that both SE's would be of the same alignment. /beingsillybutnotreally

Yes I am town.

Please explain how either Xtian or I are scum in this instance.

Nothing wrong with an early wagon. This is how we get reactions from and reads on people.

There's exceptions to the rule, but I feel like two votes after another isn't very scummy in RVS.

My thought was that newbie scum would be inclined to wagon onto their more experienced partner.
The way I went about it is just really strange. You have to read between lines in a lot of the things I post. Sorry.

Captain Ribbit making it to L-3 on page one tells me that at least one scum is currently on his wagon.
(Yes he was only had 2 votes when I first mentioned it. I'm aware.)
I was just finding a way to point that out that entertained myself.
or something like that....

Captain Rabbit is a noob so how is he the more experienced partner?

L-3 on page one is never a big deal (http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=23964 this game is an example however not back to back.)

Wagoning is pretty much a null tell.

So doubling my realness of my vote for misreping that the wagon was on an experienced player.

Yes cause RVS is a totally useful stage and i shouldn't be trying to break it

And honestly it is scummy to try and call wagoning scummy.

Sheeping in RVS is also normal though so yeah.

My train of logic led me to believe that it could have been scum motivated.

I personally don't like RVS to go on for too long it's too easy for scum to cause people to froth at the mouth
that was my attempt to nudge us out of it hence the "/sillybutnotreally" part.
If it made me look scummy then, fine. It was worth.

I'm not sure why I have three votes, but I'm going to be sad if I'm lynched on Day 1. If I am lynched today, I'd be prepared to wager that one of the three votes that I currently have are from scum.

Also, JasonWazza, although I agree that the second vote for me isn't necessarily indicative of scum, any fourth or fifth votes should definitely get attention, given that we've had such little discussion. Third vote is slightly suspicious too, but not enough to raise any alarm.

I honestly doubt you'll be lynched from two RVS votes. From my experience, the RVS votes have very little impact on who gets lynched D1.

I agree with you there Captain but if you can't explain why something is scummy then it's probably not, which is my point.

Call something scummy then explain how it is scummy.

Also quicklynches are (generally) unlikely to happen.

Yeah, I didn't mean that I expect to be lynched. Just that, if the three people voting for me are town, then the mafia could use this as an easy Day 1 double kill.

Yeah but they would get massive suspicion if they did, why are you getting all nervous over 3 votes?

Also, with more than half the votes required to lynch, I'd say that it's not unreasonable to be slightly nervous.

Town being lynched 1 for 1 with scum isn't a bad thing.

In fact that's probably more helpful then a loss in most cases.

going from 7v2 to 4v1 even counting night kills, so town shouldn't be nervous due to possibly being quick lynched due to scum.

Ah, I see what you mean. It would still be a major bummer to be lynched first on my first game.

Protip to all newbies: Don't quickhammer without a claim. Its happened to me off site, and its not fun.
