I got 2 games in before the client shat itself, both as a standard ADC, she has insane level 2 burst with Q + E + passive proc, but you really need some heavy CC down there to get the most out of it, Vault is a nice positioning tool if you use creeps between you and the other laner to get out of harass range while still getting that last hit
Looking forward to trying her toplane where that kind of nearly-free harass is more effective

See I used to think mid lulu was just a bad idea now since her nerfs, but it really does work in some instances. She does do a lot of damage and people don't seem to expect it in mid lane.
I'm not 100% on a build yet, though generally depends on the match ups. But this is the most fun I've had in a long while.
Winning vs cho is probably a fluke though, I don't think she'd beat him out normally.

Her hat is a bird, her crossbow is a bird, her shoulderpads are birds, her cloak is a bird. She has a giant blue bird. I get it, she fuckin loves birds.

Buttons/Patrick were talking about new liandry's as an early item for malz, even first item. It's synergy with visions should be great (many tics). Competition according to Patrick would be RoA, so lets compare.

Liandry's obviously depends on the opponents current health, so the idea here is to find the breakeven point in opponents health for Liandry's vs RoA.

For reference:
Malefic Visions wrote:Range: 650
Cooldown: 15 / 13 / 11 / 9 / 7
Cost: 60 / 75 / 90 / 105 / 120 mana

Malefic Visions

Active: Target enemy takes magic damage over 4 seconds. If the target dies during this time, the target passes Malefic Visions to the closest enemy, refreshing the duration and restoring mana to Malzahar.

Magic damage: 80 / 140 / 200 / 260 / 320 (+ 80% AP)
Mana restored: 10 / 14 / 18 / 22 / 26


Assumptions used:

1 AP = 21.5 gold
1 HP = 2.63 gold
I'm not considering mana because I don't mind stacking things a little in favour of liandry's, mana might not be malz's most important stat, and gold per mana is inflated because sapphire crystal is expensive.
enemy MR = 30 (base plus runes/masteries of him and yours)
Your AP = 20 runes + masteries
visions at 5th (only one item at lv9)

no clue if this is reasonable, kindly check that.

For RoA, this means (before it grows), that gives visions with 80 AP total: 384 magic damage over 4 seconds every 7 seconds. 384/1.3 = 296 past resistances.

There's a difference in health gained between Liandry's and RoA of 150 health, 395 gold. One could have bought just over 18 AP for that. So liandry's has to do (98*0.8+320)/1.3 = little over 306 damage.

Now the shitty part:

The mr is 15. Visions procs every half second. Eight ticks in total. Then two ticks of liandry's after that, if I'm not mistaken. Visions on it's own does 360 damage... I think I might be answering the wrong question. 360/1.15 = 313 damage
pre
passive. So haunting guise's passive on it's own makes this already worth it.

If I had more time I should answer if haunting guise + RoA is stronger then Liandry's + random item.

Conclusion is something like: penetration is strong when your opponent has no MR and base damages are high. Or something like that.
Surrender, imagine and of course wear something nice.

I just think shes pretty weak.
If they would just lower some of her mana costs a bit, or better yet increase her mana pool and mana regen, she would be a lot more viable.

I guess because whenever Riot does the former it's very minor and not noticeable but buffing the other two always seems to work out better IME.
