Forum FAQ (New users read this first!)

At the moment, the FAQ link above is the default phpBB FAQ - it addresses generic forum questions, but nothing specific to this site. The FAQ on the wiki is somewhat outdated as well. We've made some progress on documentation stuff in the past months/year, such as the Newbie Guide, but there's still work to do.

So... the goals of this thread:

1. Figure out what questions (frequently asked, or just very important) need to be in a more comprehensive FAQ).
2. Once that's determined, put the thing together.
3. In the meantime, address things here so (hopefully) people can find answers to such things until 1 and 2 are donw.

Known Issues:

Account activation is currently enabled to combat spam. You must be registered to post. However, there is an issue with our email activation, so if you are registering a new account you may not actually get the activation email, and if you try again you will get an error message saying that the account has already been registered. If this is the case,

do not try registering more names

3a. It's been frowned upon in the past to use TWSOGMM as an end-run around the Queue lines, so unless it's a *really* crazy Mafia Mutation, I'd say scumchat is your best bet.

Go to the "Queue" folder, then to the "Newbie Game List (Players and moderators)" thread and post "I want to play a game" or "/in as newbie" or something similar. Welcome!

I'm destickying this for the moment, as the main issue is about to be addressed in a separate announcement, and the actual FAQ part needs to be fleshed out before it's of much use. Don't let me forget to work on this, though.
